Thanks for the quick response! I removed those WADs and tried to run through from the start. Its behaving like the last go. I think its just freezing on the SM wad. It displays the name and the size then stays on that screen forever.
If you extract cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod.zip to a formated sd-card, does wadmanager load? If it does, install 3.1u, ios30, elua, and region select with ios36.
If wadmanager does not load, try to format your card with this tool. Then try the formater again. Delete any wads that fail, if it completes, try wadmanager again.
If it continues to fail, try 3.1e-formater.zip, same as before, delete any wads that fail- if it PASS we will change the region back to U.
cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod won't load. I've been able to load things via cboot before though. Would the format remove cboot? I used the tool to reformat my SD card, but neither of the formatters seem to work. When I tried the 3.1e_formater, cboot DOL loader popped up with the rolling screen and it says "Failed to load IOS." I took boot.elf and startup.elf off the card, so format.elf was left. Started the 3.1_formater again, but it hangs on the SM.
Any idea whats going on?
cboot2 needs some ios on the wii. So run the formater again as described.
I tried everything from post #32, but it seems as though IOS won't load. Any other suggestions?
When you run the nand formater, what files are not loading?
What happened when you tried the 3.1e version?
Without the formater completing the ios install you are dead in the water, so keep trying. Perhaps another sd-card.
You could try to use NUS downloader to get fresh copies of those wads.
I'm not familiar with NUS downloader, but I can give it a shot. With either the NTSC or PAL formater, the SM wad says "installing" and lists the filesize, but thats all it ever says. I've left it for as long as a half hour. It does this for each wad, never giving me the impression thats it has fully loaded anything. I'm using a 2gb sandisk SD card. I can try another though. I'll look into the NUS downloader. Thanks for the help!
If you have deleted the failed wads, and it is doing it with every wad, I am inclinded to think it could be your card. Try to use the sd-card formater from the prior post, and try another card.
Also try to redownload the wads from NUS download. Google it.
