The IOS249 is installed during the softmod process and usually has NAND permissions.... If you have IOS250 you can use that instead... If you do not have either of these then you will need to install one (preferably 250) in order to use WAD manager... Search the forums on how to do this.
Thanks for that. I guess I'm being extra cautious because I don't want to get anything wrong. Anyway, I've got to section C1 now but I'm a bit stuck. You said to go to anytitle deleter, the one I presumes on homebrew, and to look under installed channel titles and count how many say unknown, but when I click on anytitle deleter I get a black screen with white writing saying select ios version to use...
I'm sorry but I am a complete beginner to this and it's like a whole new language to me. Do I just select ios250 again or am I just in the wrong place.
You've been a great help so far, I can't wait to get my wii back to normal.
yeah you just select IOS250 again... You will have to do that everytime you start anytitle deleter...
Like I said I am a total novice and I'm really greatful of all your help. In anytitle deleter I selected ios250 and it came up with the following:
Informing Wii that I am God..... OK!
Initializing Filesystem driver.... OK!
Wiping off fingerprints...
- Deleting ticket file
Ticket delete failed (No ticket?) -106
- Deleting title file... OK!
Checking system region...
Pulling Sysmenu TMD...
Pulling Sysmenu Ticket...
Informing the the Wii that I am its daddy...Error! ES_Identify (ret = - 1017)
Error! ES_OpenContent (ret = -1017)
From where I'm standing it doesn't look too good, but you know a lot more than I do. Have I done something wrong somewhere down the line?
Okay, so I pressed A a couple of times and it took me through to the screen mentioned, I deleted UMRD which was uLoader I think it was called and that was the only one apart from JODI the homebrew. So I went to system titles and all the ios200 + were at the top of the screen so I deleted these and exited, but I didn't realise that there were 2 more pages! So there may be more ios200 + on there which I didn't spot. Anyway, the Wii's frozen whilst saying "Exiting" at the bottom and I'm now pretty worried.
Hi, really sorry to keep posting but I pulled the mains out eventually and got back onto anytitle deleter, but I had already deleted ios250 so what do I load from? I'm only doing this to check that I've not missed any Ios's over 200..
I doubt you missed any b/c on my wii all the 200+ ios's were on the first page... But if you really want to check you can reinstall IOS250 (search the forums for this) in order to use anytitle deleter again...
So I'd more than likely be okay if I carry on? Do you know why the screen froze?
Yeah it will be fine to continue... As for the freezing, it happens all the time so your fine.
Okay, I've done everything the guide says now. Is there any way of checking that it's fully virginized? Just being cautious. And can I update the system and everything now?
I know it sounds silly but I'm extremely greatful for your help, I know it's only a console but I feel that you've saved me a lot of money on buying a new console.
