i've updated also the shop channel today to be sure but always same problem
i checked the ID and it's the right one
I read DLC from a 2gb SD card (it works perfectly with "manual" downloaded songs from music store)
dlc is into private/wii/data/sZxP (a-b-c-d)
if i go in the music store the songs i've loaded on sd card via RB_DLC_Collection are seen as downloaded. All the other ones as purchased.
But when i try to play a downloaded song, the wii remains on charging screen forever.
so any suggestion to fix my problem?
I'm bored to download songs one by one and sometimes downloaded songs are not loaded (this happens when I free wii memory to download new songs and some of the old ones seems to disappear)
You should not have to "free" your Wii memory if you are downloading direct to the SD card. If you are having the problem where the DLC gets stuck in the Wii memory after you donwload or play them then I would guess your cIOS 223 is not the current version, or not installed properly.
1) what is the reason for using
wget -c -nc -i list.txt
wget -N -c -i list.txt
in your --- startMenu ---.bat files?
- nc behaviour actually is weird in many ways, in this case it will NOT continue a download later if the batch process is shut down.
REM wget -N -c -i list.txt
wget -c -nc -i list.txt
2) the first post states issues for PAL users using your toolset. is this still the case nowadays?
EDIT: post edited to include my version having also the -N switch
I was getting strange behavior with the original command I was using. Mostly with the TMD files, it would "continue" them even though it was a totally new file. I found it was better to just skip the file if its there already. If you have a partially downloaded file it will just crash the decrypter, so just delete the file it crashes on and re-run the download.
It also takes a long time for it to go through every file in the list and check if they need to be resumed just so you can download 4 new files at the end, much faster to just skip them all quickly.
thanks for reply.
I agree on what you say.
Do you think it is possible to save the output of the decrypter into a txt file for later reference?
I have several Ideas for improving the whole process, but first I gotta learn a bit about how things work in technical order.
I will send you a PM later when I have done some research.
Hey thanks for the updated tools JTP, especially for the beatles rock band DLC tools.
I'm running off NAND emulation, all my RB2 DLC works fine. So I decided to try the beatles DLC. Most of the songs work except a few ( the songs from the abbey road album ). They show up in the list but the album art won't show and the preview song won't play. When I try to load the song it just sits at the loading screen.
Any idea? I could give you the .app or .bin file names of the ones that don't work if that'll help you at all?
Or was anyone else able to get the Abbey Road DLC songs to work?
I would try making the bin files for those songs and put them on an SD card, see if they load that way. You did not copy both the app and bin files to the emulated nand did you?

I have a small question about your tool : i'm running a RB2 NTSC disc on a wii pal, wich tool i must use the pal one or the ntsc?
Yeah I'll try that. No I didn't put them both. But I do convert them to .bin's so I can use the DLC manager and pick out which songs I want and then put the .app files on the emulated nand. But I'll try just those songs that don't work and see what happens
