Hi jtp, (and no, I didnt steal your name, been using this name online for over 10 years lol)
Thanks for sharing this awesome tool. I now have 862 songs on my usb drive emulated nand (game takes 7 mins to startup lol.) The only problem is that I'm missing a few songs:
Decent Days and Nights, Hounds of Love, Walk Away, The Hockey Theme, All of This, Tie You Down, Fell in Love With a Girl, You Don't Know What Love Is
I think these are the newest songs in Gen 4 but the downloads stop after file 000000FE so maybe they changed the links for the newer songs? I guess I can just download them to the real nand and then extract them as they are still marked as purchased but the current uloader can't download rb2 dlc to emu nand, only the gh dlc.
For those with problems using emulated nand:
When using the tool, follow the manual steps and then stop after the decrypter as you want the .app files, not the .bin files!
Then put them into the following folder on you fat32 usb drive: (this is for NTSC, might be different for PAL)
nand\title\00010005\735a4145\content for gen 1
nand\title\00010005\735a4245\content for gen 2
nand\title\00010005\735a4345\content for gen 3
nand\title\00010005\735a4445\content for gen 4
I also put the padding.app and the 3 title.xxx files into each folder but I don't know if that was required or not...
For Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero:
The new uloader automatically installs any .wad that you place into the nand/install folder of your emulated nand onto the emulated nand (should give errors but just ignore them) so place your wads there to unlock dlc and then you can just download them through the music store straight onto the emulated nand. Note that the game thinks you only have 2100 blocks free so you can't download the huge packs all at once, just a few songs at a time but as soon as the download is complete it'll still show 2100 blocks free so you can just continue to download.
jfp, if you donwload those missing songs, check out what the file names are and send me a PM or something. I can see why they are not donwloading.
Don't the app files need to go in the "content" folder in each of the folders you mentioned?
Did you make sure you ran the Update TMD step? You need to do this any time new DLC comes out for gen4 so the decrypter knows about it.
Yep, you're right, it's the content folder, I fixed my first post.
I'll get the file names of the missing songs soon.
Can you explain the Update TMD thing? I don't see anything about that in the readme.
...And you were right again. The missing files were EC through FE which I did download but weren't decrypted.
I don't see it in the instructions anywhere but based on your comment, I figured out that you need to download the new title.tmd using the link in the list-unlock.txt file and then the decrypter will work on the new files too.
If you use the new packages I uploaded the second option in the new menu is to update the TMD file.

The ticket file will not change but you need to update your TMD file.
Use the new menu system to do this for the Gen4 stuff.
Maybe I will add that to the readme for any following release
Just a little update on my side.
Have manage to download some 800s tracks and with the help of DLC manager, i pushed the 50 odd favorites of mine over to the SD card.
A retail copy of RB2 is on it's way to me and i should be able to enjoy jamming to the DLCs in next few hours time.
All these are not possible without the help from jtp10181.
May i say a big thank you!
It is sad that we are world apart else would like to buy you a beer or two for the assistance and patience that you have given me. :)
Till then, my next venture will be the DLCs for Band Hero which i have received as a wonderful gift... Maybe The Beatles as well! :o
Will GHWT work with SDHC?
Update from me again.... (oh well...)
Have a pretty bad fall over this RB2 DLC thingy.
Retail disc................ checked
IOS37 patched......... checked

play solo, can see no DLCs...... no good
go music store, see tons of purchased..... good
try download 1 DLC................ good
download completed and transfer to SD..... good
proceed to download another, 240704 error.... no good
I'm about to give up on this.... time spend on getting DLCs with all assistance provided, went ahead to get the retail disc, nothing went right... gosh.... what have i done wrong... :(
4.2U 1 month old Wii,
soft-mod using Softmod for ANY 4.2 Wii,
patched IOS37 using DOP-Mii,
restart Wii and encounter the above situation.
After more googling, it seems like the RawkSD patcher mentioned by numerous people is require to stop the 204704 error. Further reading, the patcher is suppose to do what i did: patch the IOS37.
This confuse me further: have i not done enough to get it running.... hmmmm
I am having similar issues. Looking for help. I have down loaded the gen 1 - 4 files with pc tools to my computer and all the bin files. I was having problems so I decided to re-formatted my sd card. I then down loaded a couple of songs from the music store which all showed up on the quick playlist. I then took the sd card to the pc and added 4 songs to the card with DLC manager put it back in the wii and now it is saying it can not add the content back onto the Wii. Is there something wrong with my bin files? Should there be anything else in the folder beside the bins? I decided to take the card out go back to the pc and deleted the 4 songs I added. I put it back in the Wii with the 4 songs on the card that the Wii saved and still I get can't add content, none of the songs show up in the quick play list. 4.2 softmode using retail disc. I now have to reformat the sd card for RB to recognize it.
Seems like i am not alone. :(
For a start, i was suspecting if the ng_id i used to download the DLCs via PC is not the same as my Wii thus trigger the DLCs not showing up in the game when i load it up via disc channel.
I verified the id by using the nand backup i had from bootmii and it looks good.
Somehow, i'm not losing hope (unlike before) as the more i read about other sucessful stories of getting it up, the more angry am i with myself and ask myself: WTF am i doing wrong?
There should be a clear cut way of getting it up and running.
Sadly, i can only try that tomorrow as the Wii is at my gal's place.
Maybe i will try the RawkSD patcher and report back.
