Arghh shiver me wiilee lol....hey Stomp_442 do you use a USB loader to play Wii games?
I have used USB LoadeGX and external Hard drive to backup and play Wii games and its great!!!
Thanks again Stop_442 for the superdumper as its quick for my GameCube backup projects. Except with USB LoaderGX I only seem to get fatty wbfs iso wii files like 6-8gig when I thought I should just get a 4 Gig file and then burnt it as a safekeep in case my hard drive fails?? Any ideas matey??? I will also try to use superdumper for my Wii discs and see how quick that is compared to the USb LoaderGX rip/install.
Hey Ianserena what Stomp_442 says is true and well suggested. Here is my 2 cents worth...argh shive me wiilee lol...
a)If you were to install priiloader on your wii it can stop disc updates I believe but if you want to make sure then ask he question in the softmod 3-4.1 forum as they will give you greater info and advice so you can make an informed decision.
a) as you have the softmod 3-4.1 installed then install properly USB LoaderGX ,find yourself a cheap 80gig hard drive either 3.5" or 2.5" with either IDE or SATA connection, then find external enclosure for either your 3.5" or 2.5" so that you can house your hard drive and make sure it has a USB interface so that it can connect to your PC or MAC (yuck lol), format your hard drive to NTFS and plug it via USB Loader GX.
b) use good blank media like Tao yuden Verbatim TDK SONY DVR-R and either ImgBurn/Nero to burn the wii iso , you can also find software that scrubs the wii iso from all its update files which means you will have a clean non updating backup of wiifit then let your house people use that copy and any future discs using the same method and like Stomp_442 said lock up and store your original Wii discs and only ever use the burnt clean copy or else you can load the Wii ISO from the hard drive but I can see this can be complicated for other people in your house to use so just make clean non-updatable Wii discs for others and you just use the USB LoaderGX and hardrive. good luck argh.....
1. You can install priiloader to block updates,

I see that you thought installing priiloader is an option, which it is. Some here would believe you didn't follow a Wiihacks guide because you didn't install priiloader. If you are going to be playing retail Wii discs then you should install priiloader and block updates, if you burn Wii backup discs then you should install priiloader and block updates. I don't have priiloader installed (yet) either, but I never use a disc to play a game. Don't say you were not warned about disc updates.
I have played a backup of Pikmin 2, didn't lock up. But I didn't get very far either. Give it a shot and post back if you have problems. Don't burn this game to a multiISO disc, you may have better results.

hello,i'm kinda new at this, this is my first post,i read the other comments and tryed what u told them, and still nothing,kk soo,i'm trying to get this to work,it might be the dvd,its a pretty cheap brand, but its still dvd-r,when i try to play zelda wind walker(olny backup i have),it says no dvd 263 earror x00...something like that,i tryed reinstalling i'm 100% positive i followed ur guide to the T. plz help me if u can, thank you
First off is your wii new as in recently bought within the past 5 or so months. If it is, it can have a D3-2 board which will prevent it from reading DVDs so you won't be able to play gamecube backups.
i dont think so,i bought mine used from game stop, when i got it,it already had 4.1,how would i knoe,i'll try google till someone replys, come to think of it,i dont think nogamma worked when i tryed a burnt dvd
Argh shiver me wiilee lol.....Spad3z if you tried a burnt game disc via Neogamme then probably does mean you have the d3-2 dvd-rom. Also since you bought it second hand they probably took out the original dvd-rom and just placed a new or refurbished or used d3-2 dvd-rom which means you are stuck with it. Mine has a d3 dvd-rom but thankfully not the d3 version 2. i can play backups of Wii and GameCube and originals. The only other option you have is install USB LOader GX and get yourself an old working 3.5" hard drive 80gig upwards and install/rip your Wii games onto the hard drive and play it via USB LOaderGX.
If you want to play Gamecube backups then since you have no warranty left from Nintendo then I think if you are clever enough to open your baby Wiilee lol and swap it over with a reputable working D2C, A used dvd-rom then you can use GameCube and Wii backups.
Hey Smoker...I think it would be better if you just used a wired GameCube controller as maybe the drivers needed with the wireless stuff maybe be conflicting with your Wiilee lol. Try it and see argh....
By the way is your game backup a GameCube or Wii game???? Another idea is just buy one good Verbatim blank DVr-r disc and burn your Zelda game at 4x using ImgBurn or Nero. Once you have the burn disc then try it via Neogamma if its a Wii game or the GameCube Backup Launcher if its a GameCube game. If you have followed the guide correctly then just pop in the disc and you should be able to see the GameCube logo on your disc channel window which means your dvd-rom would not be a d3-2 dvd-rom. Also in Neogamma in th white black screen you should see the game disc load and then play. If it shows you a disc error message write it down on paper before you reset your wiilee lol then come back and lets us know the actual message. If you have used Verbatim disc and have a good working backup Zelda ISO file and can't make it work the it probably means you have the dreaded d3-2 crappola dvd-rom. Good luck argh.....
thank you,i wiil try it with the Verbatim cd,usd loader work's,i'm not worried about wii backups, and i will write down the earror msg, also i dont knoe if this helps, but i was watching a backup copy of rush hour 3 on mplayer O.o,sooo...(prys i dont have d3-2)
Ok, I have followed the guides, and also cannot get GC to boot. I have a GC2-D2C drive (pretty sure) , which plays wii backups from disc w/o any issues. I have tried Wiigators launcher, neogamma and gcbooter. Neo and gator just spin and spin, gcbooter comes back with ret = -1. What am I missing here? Priiloader has all regionfree disabled. any help is appreciated!
Yea if you can play disk backups at all, then these should work.
