did my research but still need help modding
first of all, greetings to everyone here. and second, forgive me if what i'm going to ask makes me look like a total douche. now, on to business.
i just very recently (5 days ago) bought a wii and i'm not too happy about their pricing. with all the hardware they want you to buy and the prices of some of their games, i'd empty my wallet pretty fast. so, i decided to get a chip, went to Nintendo-Scene Wii Serial Tracker, which allows you to determine your wii hardware specs. so i entered mine (LU348757864) and what it figured out was that "There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C.
There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut." Just wondering what this means for me? Is the second statement a bad thing? And if so, is there a way to fix it? Would anyone happen to know an illustrated guide/video if ever i needed to cut the pins?
i also heard that i need the wii brickblocker when i play burned games to prevent my wii from becoming a $280 paperweight?
