you have most parts right, in staed of using a boot.elf file for dupe channel remover i would recommand you get the boot.elf for the homebrew channel, with HBC you can load more then one .elf file and is a must have. In order for you to keep playing indiana jones you will have to brick block the game and re burn it.
hi.. i think i encountered a similar problem by 'semi-bricking' my U3.3 wii for runnung a PAL version of mario kart.. so now i can't run any other ntsc backup discs but my wii settings and wifi are still functional.. i did try to use Homebrew NTSC fix but unfortunately it is not working.. anyone of u found any solution? am wondering does it help if i go and buy an original NTSC mario-kart.. will it help to reinstate back the firmware? please help... thanks /sam
Did you get the double channels? I used the twlight trick with DCR (Dual channel Remover 2.1) boot.elf to remove it.
Sorry, jebise101 I didn't try what you suggested but I will future forward. I also used WUI1.1 to brickblock the ISO and convert it to NTSC. Which has worked for the most of my collection.
Which modchip do you have?
You should probably should try using Wiu1.1 as jebise101 said in other posts to prevent this type of semi brick.
semi-brick. need help
I updated to 3.3u through my settings, and my wii stopped loading my Brawl ntsc-U single-layer backup (Brawl ntsc-J backup works fine, as do all my other backups). I tried using cIOS downgrader through the HBC to roll back to 3.2u, but it wouldn't work. I've heard other people with this problem have downloaded a PAL version of Brawl and it worked. So, I thought if I switched my firmware to 3.3e with the downgrader tool, that my NTSC backup would work again. Well, it didn't...and now I have a semi-brick (opera error when accessing settings, but all games load fine), and ntsc-u brawl still doesn't load while ntsc-j brawl loads fine.
theoretically, if a game comes out with 3.4u firmware update, this should fix my semi-brick. What I'm wondering is if I burn the 3.3u update to an ISO, will I be able to update back to my original region firmware? Are there any other methods for fixing a semi-brick?

Semi brick fix:
Just install the correct SystemMenu.wad using wadmanager...
To download the correct SystemMenu:
1 - Download the "Offline Downgrade Upgrade" util for windows.
2 - Double-click "Prepare.bat"
it will ask for the update version and region and will download the full update.
3 - Go to the Wad folder located under SD Folder
like "c:\offline download folder app\SD\WAD"...
4 - Copy the "SystemMenu.wad" to the WAD folder in your SD-Card.
Insert the SD-Card in Wii, go to the Homebrew channel, run "Wad Manager" and install the systemmenu.wad! :)
