omg! so everything installed fine, I am using an external HDD for all my games using usb loader GX etc and all is good... i tried to back up my NAND, I went and got a gamecube controller, and when I go to launch bootmi it goes to a blank screen and the blue light inside where the disc goes on the wii flashes? and when i reset it it goes to the priiloader menu and from there i push bootmi IOS and it says it cant find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please someone help me!
I am having a similair issue. I have backed up my nand and saved it, formatted the sd extracted the proper files but when I launch bootmii from the HBC I get the same thing, May as well not start a new thread with the same issue. I cannot even get back to the priiloader, I have to power off by holding in power button manually. Also all apps are gone from the HBC. I even tried exiting to the main menu before removing the sd card. What am I missing that is so obvious? I have tried for 2 days now, but I need help!!!!
I havnt backed up my NAND yet! I am trying to, and I cant launch bootmi to try and save it!
also when I load USB Loader GX there is a black screen with white code that comes up before it launches and it says IOS236 not found? but the gx loader still works? any ideas?
*bump* can anyone help? is this normal?
This sounds like you deleted stuff from your SD card ... for bootmii to work and for HBC to display it's apps you need to keep stuff on your SD...
To get apps to appear in HBC you need to put apps in X:\apps (where X is letter associated to your SD card on PC)
To get BootMii to run is leeetle bit more complicated: Go back to messie's guide (shortest way - follow link in my sig) and run PART A again (or just part where bootmii is installed) - you WILL need that pack from PART A available in messie's guide...
Once bootmii creates X:\bootmii folder on your SD card DO NOT delete it again... best idea is to keep everything on your SD card. If you feel like cleaning here's the quick overview that might help you:
X:\apps <- here HBC keeps it's apps
X:\bootmii <- here's the bootmii (do not delete!)
X:\wads <- wads for WAD manager go here
X:\boot.dol <- this can be deleted (i did)
X:\hacks.ini <- this is where priiloader keeps hacks settings
other stuff can be deleted AFAIK
Hope that helped...
Thanks. I was going to start over and just delete the Nand from the SD(after saving it to my pc), leaving all the packs on. I thought that may be the case, but hearing it from someone else is reassuring.:D
thanks will give it a try tonight! will redoing the first bit upset my HDD that I have about 30 games loaded?
I am about to try this... do I need to format my SD card again? there is a few things that have apeared on my SD card is it ok to delete them? please someone help!
I have connected up a external USB and I have been loading games onto the harddrive using the loader, and I have box art for all games?
help help help!
I just formatted my sd, deleted homebrew off the wii and used Sonic Shadow's updated 4.2 hack. I was up and running in like 2 hrs. All programs appear to be running just fine. I will see if I can find the link to that page.
