What should I do? I'm considering formatting the SD card and starting over.
The Prii Menu will let me load the boot.dol again (hackmii v0.5)
Should I try the hackmii v0.6 that I saw somewhere else?
I trusted wiihacks to know better which is why I followed everything in the tut, but now I'm stuck. Please, anyone help?
I figured it out! I needed to put 4.1U-RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v449.wad in the root of my SD card. Afterwards, I ran the WAD manager for the IOS60patch, then installed the systemmenu wad for my region... and presto I got my system menu back! I reinstalled Priiloader again and now have no problems. (I used the WAD manager to run the IOS60patch before installing of course.) Shouldn't this be in the sticky for others to know about?
Thanks for this step by step tutorial.
I am new to the wii system and I live in London, I bought a brand new wii system 2 months ago and I would like to play homebrew games and I don't know where to start from.
I hope you guys who have more experience will help me.
For a new wii system do I have to start from this tutorial or I have to do something before.
For 3.1 to 4.1
For 4.2 (Do NOT Update your console as it will take you to 4.2)
thanks for this thread, found it most useful.
I have a 3.2e wii(hard mod & softmodded with guide on here), bootmii as boot2, hbc, usbloadergx etc
Wanted to install priiloader so i can boot straight to usbloadergx.
Bit confused about whether this bit will apply to me or not?
"Also note if you plan on trucha signing (patching) your system IOS do it before installing Priiloader, Priiloader patches the IOS to run more smoothly so installing a patched System IOS after Priiloader will undo the patch causing it to give you a 'bannerbrick' Trucha signing your system IOS isn't required but recommended."
when i was looking at installing preloader a few weeks ago, got a bit confused with the whole dop ios thing so gave it a miss as i like to be 100% sure what i'm doing!
Any advice greatly appreciated
IOS30 for 3.2 has the trucha bug by default, it was already patched.
Got my answer =], nvm
