so im trying to convert "wii sports resort" with wbfs_file it has converted "new super mario" so i know it works but when i try wii sports resort it gives me this message
'wbfs_file' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
can someone tell me whats up with this
This is a standard error message from the windows CMD DOS BOX.
This message just means that there is no "wbfs_file.exe" in the same folder (or path) and "wbfs_file" is not an internal command.
I believe wbfs_file is quite outdated. Try Wii Backup Manager... it's a great program with a very nice and easy GUI.

I still dont understand.
the main question it was if is possible to convert a .wbfs file to .iso on a pc and if is possible. How?.
well I haven't understand, it hasn't been clear, I mean no body has say. yes is it can be done nor is like this or like that.
I am posting this because I have an internal MAXTOR hard drive connected to my wii via a ide to usb device the hard drive is formated to fat32, and it works fine, well not exactly, some times I can play for 2 hours with no problem and some times only 15 minutes because the game freeze or after I finish a mission it doesn't load the next one. So what I want to do is to create iso images out of this .wbfs files to burn them to a dvd and that way I will no have problems.
I think that the hard drive is not fully compatible with my wii so while I get an other hdd I would like to burn my games.
Thanks. I new about this but I couldn't find where to download it. for the wbfs_file.exe, I just have to drag it to the .exe while it's still in the same directory. It should work the same way as Wii backup manager right?
MAXTOR harddrive? is that a brand name? I use seagate free agent. Works fine as a WBFS drive, haven't tried it as a FAT32 yet. Maybe it's your loader. Use the latest version of wiiflow.
Here is the answer !!!
Maybe you already have the answer at this time, but if don't, have it:
.iso to .wbfs ... take the .iso and convert to .wbfs i don't know if people are saying you cant just convert it manually and have to do it through manager or that you cant play .wbfs from FAT drive. Either way just in case it was said you cant manually convert to .wbfs from a clean .iso... it is easily done but you should scrub it first a 4.5 gb .iso scrubs and compresses to 96 Mb. Don't know if that helps at all.
Wii Scrubber 1.4 <--- Scrubs .iso (removing junk)
Wii Game Manager v1.5 <--- Converts .iso to .wbfs
Wii Backup Manager 0.4.5 <--- Loads .wbfs to wbfs partiton or drive
