Since I was posting in this thread first, I want to update this thread. Go here - http://www.wiihacks.com/wasabidx/360...abi-chips.html

Thanks! It does work and this is the first disk ran NSMB I have had work! Upgraded to Wasabi 3.0 beta, used their BCA patcher, and kept on getting system updates. Downloaded Wiu1.1 -
and that worked!
First use a unpached fresh ISO, drag the ISO on to the BCA patcher. Then run the Wiu1.1 to remove the system update (on the right hand side of Wiu1.1, in brickblocker box, click patch update button.).
I am assuming that it was asking me to update since I have been running a Trucia patched IOS53 so that I could get the SD version of the game to work.
Good Job guys! ----
Dont know if you have seen but there is a firmware update on the wasabi website. They say that if you upgrade your chip they have now patched around the problem. im in the process of burning the game so will re post once ive tried it out. Sounds good that they have patched around this new protection already! :-)
I have upgraded the wasabi dx firmware and patched the iso. The game now wants me to do a system update. Is this safe to do? How do I get around it?
I just did the upgrade through the wii systems menu matey. Then you know there is no chance of bricking your wii
Does that stop me playing NTSC games? Ive probably only got 1 or 2 anyway.
Think if you check the wasabi website the firmware update restricts that anyway..well until they can get around it again
I went ahead with the update. Its all fine and got BBC Iplayer downloaded aswell.
Still get the black screen with error when trying to load the bca patched mario disc though.
Yeh me too lol,im still trying to work out why...
You have to make sure you are using an untouched, unscrubbed ISO to get the BCA patch to work. Did you try a NTSC ISO?

You can also remove it using WIU1.1. Take your untouched ISO, then BCA patch it, then run WIU1.1 - wiu1.1.rar which I wrote already above.
Hi guys, sorry for the long post
I've been reading your posts and you seem to be one of the very few who seem to know what your talking about regarding the wasabi dx and NSMB!
From what I understand its a case of....
-download unscrubbed iso
-quickly patch with wasabi's BCA thing (drag+drop)
-remove 'something' with WIU1.1
- play :)
I'm really hoping you can help with a few Q's. Any response would be really appreciated!
I currently have a wasabi dx 3.0 and and wii with firmware 3.2 (or prehaps 3.4?)..... with absolutely no interest in softmodding it.
1) To get it to work I understand that I need a fully unscrubbed version. Since my wii is PAL, can I use a PAL disc?
2) To the best of my knowledge, I've never updated my Wii. Do I need to update it to get it working?
3) If I do need to update it what is the best way to do it? - I don't ever connect online, and I don't have any new legit disks to hand....
4) I have a few games that have never worked, they appear in the 1st main menu, but as soon as I ask the game to start,,,, it just crashes and I have to do a hard reset. - would updating it to the latest firmware help these to work? (e.g. - the simpsons, nascar racing).
5) would updating my wii to the latest firmware ruin anything? - such as bricking it, rendering it unable to play NTSC games, etc, etc
6)and lastly, I can't find any of the correct rapidshare or megaupload links to the precise disk image I need, I don't suppose you know of any that you know to work?
Thank you so much for all your help
