Now I've made the mistake of installing cIOScorp 3.4 (it was my first attempt on Wii...), how do I remove all this unneeded stuff ?
I only use an USB loader with a HDD and I will never burn any DVD so I think a cIOS should be sufficient.
My original system is a 4.2E PAL console.
Can I use the 3.5 uninstaller or should I usr DOP IOS MOD v8 to DOP all the IOSes ?
Or I also installed bootmii as IOS (could not on boot2) I was thinking of restoring my NAND to the point before cIOScorp...
I swear I'll think twice before doing anythoing on my Wii now...
To Uninstall cIOSCORP 3.4
Download RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
copy it to your SD Card, and run the uninstaller
via the Homebrew Channel.
Thank you for your answer !
Just to be sure of what this will do:
Will this uninstaller restore WADs from the package, overwriting the ones installed by installer ?
In this case, what is the advantage of the uninstaller over the DOP IOS MOD method ?
Still with my question: is it mandatory to use uninstaller 3.4 to uninstall 3.4 ? is it unsafe to use uninstaller 3.5 ? Why ?
Sorry, I'm just trying to synthesis all the partial infos I read here and there to get a clear of all that mess :)
3- none, its just a preference (and the official un-installer)
4- why would you use 3.5 uninstaller to unistall 3.4?
Let's explore the limits of your kindness and patience:
If I DOP the IOSes, I'll get them patched (trucha and/or ES, need to choose) (still to read about this, but it seems I need it). Will the IOSes installed by the uninstaller be patched also ?
Other question: will the IOSes installed by the uninstaller match my systems region (E/PAL) ?
As you can see I really fear bricking my Wii...
What about restoring the NAND ?
1 - use dop-ios and update all your IOS's to the latest versions. click here ------> http://dop-iosmod.googlecode.com/fil...-IOS%20MOD.zip
2 - wont affect it
3 - reinstall preloader
4 - if you 've got Bootmii as Boot2 you can restore
