Step by step, just take your time, and very soon, your Wii will be softModded
Video guides can only give you a brief overview. Check out the 4.2 guide at the end of this post.

hi just to say not to get yourself woundup by softmodding ya wii, it looks really confusing but when you read it through a few times(make sure you read a good few times) you get to understand it a bit better. i used Dogeggs 3.1-4.1 tutorial and found it really easy to do. it was great. and hey...im a 26yr old girl who really aint got a clue about things like this but decided to have a go and hey presto....i done it! lol
honestly give it a try but go through really slowly making sure you do it step by step.
thanks laura. i've been looking at that 4.2 guide post by messie, and that's the one that scares me sensless to be honest. the reason is there are lots of things to download if one thing doesn't work and so on. i've payed loads of money on my wii and i i'm really scared that i'll brick it. that's why a video you can follow and can't go wrong. i think anyway:)
