I don't care what they look like, I just want them to work well.
I bought an Intec controller for the Wii one time and it was so bad I had to return it. The guy at the store told me that all Intec products are crap, so I've tried to stay away from third party accessories after that.
I had never heard of Nyko until now. What's the downside of buying one (except for the looks)? I only see pros... and some people say it's even better than a traditional Wii remote.
Also, is it fully compatible with the traditional nunchucks and WiiMotion Plus?
I went down to Wal-Mart last weekend, bought two Nyko wands (the ones that incorporate the Motion Plus feature) and they work great!
Thanks for the advice.
From when i brought them they are pretty much the same except they can come damaged or faulty
Ive gotten some bad pos's in the past for xBox360 controllers and what not, but for the Wii what Ive saw looks okay.
IMO I dont trust the Imitation brands for Wii at least not the $2 ones U find on ebay.
I have used 4 controllers and 2 MotionPlus adaptors and I can honestly tell the difference in peformance and stability, For instance the Controllers felt cheap and had some rough edges the material used to make them was not A-grade as far as i could tell.
The montion Plus's at least when I tested them gave me the [EDIT] by Disconnection or would not optimize properly like they should when u place them down on the counter like it asks in Wii Resort, For instance the Sensativity was a tad in accurate and slugish.
I have played wii resort many times and that one time I played it at a family members home using Ebay non Nintendo brand items I had the worst TIME ever in terms of how long the controller would work before I had place it on the damn table again it was so bad I actually stopped playing and put up with the crap I was given for blaming the controllers ( Not my fualt they have never used an offical Ninendo Product other then what came in the Wii Box.)
I own 2 orignal motion plus's and in complete honesty they work almost 100% of the time and with out re correction after your first sync them they also detect my movements properly and more accuractly ( At least this is what I noted from my expereince with using Imitation brand hardware)
I could understand someone going for a Controller online as the Official Nintendo can be around $60 each but you get what you pay for, tho there is not excuse for the Motion plus addon ther only some $30 each.
street price for a set of china-made clone of wiimote + nunchuk is us$22.
u got what u paid, no exception. :D
Thats it my point exactly - tho I would like to clear up I never brought any cheap China knock off's as I simply dont trust Knock off hardware. It was my Parents Wii and control set.

Docking Stations for remotes I think is an essential accessory.
You guys are talking about cheap knock offs from China but what do you think about Nykos? I've been told before that they are a good alternative, and I think they are. I've had 2 for a few months now and I have no issues with them.
Got a couple of them (like the cool variety of colors they come in), but they tend to loose sync easily when messing with various homebrew apps an when it comes to any of the apps required to do softmodding, foget it. As long as you use them to just play retail games from the disk channel, you would probably never have an issue at all.
If you want cheap remote and nunchuck visit goldenbridgehk. I bought 2 Wii remotes and 2 nunchucks for 30$.
I saved 90$ :D.
