There is a setting you need to change in USB Loader GX-go to settings and turn 002 fix to ON. Oh, while you can set 002 fix to ON for an individual game, I suggest you do it in the global settings menu.

Can NeoGamma recognize when you actually have a disc in the drive? Can NeoGamma actually load a game disc?

For USB-try plugging in the HDD after the Wii has fully booted up and see if you still have that problem.
I'm going to start using this guide tomorrow.
But I'd like to ask in advance if I can use a standard 3.5" HDD in a powered external caddy or do I need to use what everyone else seems to be using, a dedicated 2.5" USB powered HDD ?
Q:Can NeoGamma recognize when you actually have a disc in the drive? Can NeoGamma actually load a game disc?
- Up to this point i have only one burned DVD-R game, once i choose "load game from DVD", and choose "launch game", i do get:
Force video: Wii
patch video: More
Once i push A button, i get green screen, and Wii freezes (this is once i choose NTSC 480i in force video, if i choose NTSC480p i get blue screen and Wii freezes if i choose PAL480i, PAL480p, PAL576, Wii just reboots, if i choose DISC, Wii reboots). One of the problems, as you can see, is that i didnt pay attention on PAL/NTSC while i was downloading/burning dvd, i just wanted to test everything so i can give you as much info as i can.
So i guess we can narrow the problem somewhat :)

-NeoGamma R7. IOS249 (Rev 14)
Check your HDD against the compatibility list. Not everyone is using a USB-powered HDD, I myself prefer the externally powered 1TB WD HDDs.

I've got my games playing OK, but I keep getting random freeze ups on any game I play.
(Mario Kart - PAL, WII Fit Plus - PAL) , plus a few NTSC games too, on a PAL Wii.
Either the picture freezes or the sound goes into a loop with the picture freeze.
I'm using a 3.5" HDD in a powered caddy, but I'm not sure if that's the problem or if the loaders fault.
(I've tried the USB Loader Ultimate, but that doesn't have at option to fix 002 errors, which I get if I use that loader).
Can anyone offer any advice, maybe my loaders setting are wrong ?
I've tested a 2 HDD's, one isn't recognised, but the one I'm using obviuosly is.
By a powered caddy, are you saying that you have an internal HDD that has been placed in an enclosure? If so, this combination does cause more problems due to the different power setups used for HDDs intended for PC use. A PAL game played on a PAL Wii should not have the freezing problem you report-was this ripped from the orignal disc or from an ISO download?
problems are more understandable for an NTSC game; not all out-of-region games can be played flawlessly-you can check for the effects of changing the loader's region/video settings.
One problem is that the game you are using to check you system is a difficult one to play from a backup. I would suggest finding some ordinary regular type game, within your region to see if everything is working.
