Now if I could only figure out why most of the covers in wiiflow are not downloaded :(
I had an old 250GB Western Digital (model # WD2500B007 - caviar with neon blue and pink lights on the sides) that I used for Wii backup games exclusively, but then I got a 1TB Fantom Drives GreenDrive (model # GDP1000EU) that I chose to partition using EASEUS partition master (25GB FAT32, 25GB NTFS and the rest WBFS). No problems with either of these drives really, but one thing I noticed was that the sizes of the games shows up bigger in most cases on my new HDD.
Some examples: Wii Sports (324MB old drive vs. 512MB on new drive), Wii Fit Plus (1240Mb vs. 1472MB), The Beatles: Rock Band (3524MB vs. 3568MB), Wii Chess (32MB vs. 80MB) etc.
I've tried hooking the new HDD up to my Wii and loaded the games from my original discs through various USB loaders, used WBFS manager and WBFS intelligent GUI on my PC and copied from my old HDD directly to my new HDD using ncWBFSTool. Every single game came out bigger on my new HDD.
Any ideas why? I'd hate to take them all off my new HDD and reformat it a certain way to get them to come up smaller in size.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
You describe using 3 versions of the apps based on WBFS code. You do need to be aware that WBFS Manager, WBFS Intelligent GUI, and ncWBFSTool do not have identical programming code. That alone may explain the size differences. One difference is that both the WBFS IGUI and ncWBFSTool incorporated changes to the original code to allow for additional file formats (CISO, WBI) and drive size detection, and drive sector integrity check and probably more.
Rather than focus on the actual file size issue, just make sure all your games and the HDD is consistently recognized by whatever WBFS application you eventually decide to use-and stick with it. Over time and revisions, these apps will probably become even more different from one another. As is, they currently occasionally do not recognize each other's files.
I need some feed back to get my HDD running.
Say I got harddrive don't want formate, do it going work with USB Loader GX & WBFS Manager 3 ?
I been read so pages and threads can not find any info. please help me Thanks,
Are you saying you have a HDD that you cannot get to format or are you saying you only have one HDD and do not want to format all of the HDD and lose your existing data?
The HDD will not work with USB Loader GX and WBFS Manager if you do not have one active and primary partition on that HDD that is formatted as WBFS.
If you are trying to save part of the HDD for existing uses, try a partitioning program like Partition Magic that is supposed to create a partition and still save what is on the rest of the HDD.
How do you program external partition, because I only know to do it in computer?

Hey guys. I need a little help if possible.
I got the program working on my PC just fine, and got some isos oveer to my seagate drive.
I followed the softmod for any wii tute on this site to softmod my 4.1U wii. I also have boot mii, and preloader (0.29). I got the USB installed and it shows up in homebrew, and is its own channel. But, when i click on it, it says its waiting for my slow drive (then asks if im in the right usb port...i am) then it kicks me out to preloader. Do you have any ideas what im doing wrong?
I see my preloader wants me to update to 3.0, but when i try it says something about a bug patch. I forget exactly what now so it never updates. I am also on homebrew v1.0.6. and my preloader info say IOSv60 and systemmenu 449. I dont really understand what the IOS and cIOS stuff is. So if you could help me out, and explain what to do id appreciate it to get this USB loader to work id appreciate it. Thanks!
ok i have everything working on mine it loads games from the usb hdd fine, how do i add the games covers where they will show up when your looking at the game,it just always says no image for the cover.
whats the best way of getting the covers on there and showing up?and is there anyway to do this through the pc?i noticed in the gx usb loader you can download the images but i would rather add them through the pc if possible
The partitioning is done on your computer. Read the tutorial carefully. The initial steps are done on the computer-the partitioning, WBFS Manager is all done on the computer.

That's why I suggested you look at a PC program such as Partition Magic-that is a program that is supposed to create a new partition from an unused area of the HDD. There are probably other PC programs that can do this, but that's just one I remember reading about.
I responded to your preloader problem in the 3.1-4.1 softmod tutorial. Please be a little patient waiting for a response. Double posting-if we don't count the PM is frowned upon on this site.
