If you take a quick look at the link I provided, you will see that your 16GB flash drive will need to be formatted as WBFS. The process of ripping a game ISO to a USB drive removes the update partition and other extraneous material. So no disc update problem. As s0ur mentioned, keep WiiConnect24 off to avoid a system update by Nintendo.
what about putting original games into the Wii, will this cause any kinda problem?
can you i play backups online?
I will leave you alone now :)
You can play backup games online, just don't use any cheat codes when playing online-you will be banned when detected cheating.
As far as playing from an original disc, when you did your softmod, did you install Preloader? set the system hack to Skip disc update check. If you get a black screen, the game needs an IOS you have not yet installed-you can check here to see if the game is listed yet: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...use-run-4.html
thanks once again, is pre loader is to install?
on wii wiki homebrew sectoion it has a lot of warning, will i mess anything up putting this on?
Installing preloader can cause problems if you don't follow the directions. It is however, part of our soft mod tutorials:
Read this tutorial carefully and compare with your softmodding procedures. If you have any questions after reading carefully a few times, please post your questions in the associated forum thread. Preloader is optional; if you were able to install bootmii as boot2, that is better protection for your Wii. For Wiis that have bootmii as boot2 blocked by the Nintendo console change, preloader or startpatch increases in importance for protection.
I think you are up to 11 questions, Steve.:p
