How can i reflashed it ??? sorry about my ignorance...
It is a skilled job that requires some soldering to the nand etc, i suggest u find someone to do it for u, but u wil need the nand backup and keys that u should have extracted when u started the softmod process
unfortunately i dont know anyone doing this job for me. so that means that i have to throw my new wii, right ?
Here is the guide for nand flashing it might be worth pming the author - http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...ing-guide.html
thanks a lot for all your help. we will give a shot !!! many thanks
Hi! I was wondering how can I tell which version of system menu I was running before the brick? As I remember it I was trying to make the FAT32 drives work, so it must have been 4.3?
Not sure I wanna cause more damage than I already have.
I did extract the nand using bootmii as I get a scrambled version of the System Menu corrupt screen and Homebrew won't launch.
Can you guys direct me in the right way? I would really appreciate it.:)
@anouksp - Bit confused by your message.
- Do you have bootmii installed as boot2?
- Do you have a nand backup from before things went wrong?
- Do you have priiloader installed
- Can you launch it?
If you can get into MMM using some technique, your question will be answered. If you have bootmii as boot2 and a GOOD nand backup from before, you could simply restore it. If you have bootmii as IOS, this is not possible/recommended.
To find the system menu version, you could try getting to the recovery menu, GC controller in port 4, press all 4 directionals & power on.
@BluPhant- Thanks for answering, sorry I wasn't explicit enough.
Yes, bootmii is installed as boot2. Preloader is also installed.
I extracted the nand after the brick was done, just in case I screw it up any further as a very late precaution.
I can launch both bootmii as boot2 and preloader but it seems there's no Homebrew beside the System Menu being corrupted, so there's nothing I can do.
Since I'm following this guide, I guess I just need to know what version of System Menu I updated (I bricked this Wii months ago and it took me a long time to get a gc controller so I forgot what I was doing.)
Ok, so you need a 1 or 2 gig SD card, freshly formatted to fat32 (pref with the panasonic formatter) With that, go the the softmod anywii guide linked in my sig, in the other desperate options section, follow the boot2 directions. Following this guide should set you to right.
