Thanks guys but I've tried various partitions setups and orders as listed in this thread and others and none seem to work. I've had conflicting reports about the LACIE HardDrive. So methinks I'm better off investing in a USB compatible router instead of a new hard drive. Appreciate the help
Hello, this is my first post, but I am not necessarily a newbie. I have soft-modded over 15 Wii's for friends and family. The question I have is (forgive me if this question is in the wrong forum) can you use a USB hub like the Wii branded one to hook up multiple WBFS external hard drives and have one of the USB loader programs (I don't care which one) recognize both of them? I have already setup multiple partitions and gotten that to work, but I have not seen anything on multiple hard drive setups. Any help or insight would be wonderful
I looking for the same thing....Want all my coverart and stuff From my SD card over on my Usb Hdd. Tried making 2 partitions WBFS/FAT32. Found all my backed up games...but no cover art (using Usb loader Gx 1.0 Full Channel) when I try to DL coverart, i get a black screen with the error message "Exception DSI Error" and the Wii freezes...What did I do wrong...I canīt change the Custom Path either in Usb loader gx. Help.....plzzz
I followed the guide and it works perfectly for my Wii. However, on my 2nd partition (it is a 1TB MyBook), I put movies etc. I was hoping to be able to view these on my 360 (some are in h264 format which the Wii doesn't handle) but the 360 doesn't seem to see the drive and/or the partition.
Is this possible or is it a limitation of the 360?
Quick question. I have always created only 1 partition on my HD's with WBFS manager. And they have always worked flawlessly. I was wondering what the reasons for creating the NTFS partitions were.
NTFS is readable by WBFS Manager while FAT wasn't for some reason.
Sorry but why doesnt someone just do this.
1st partition - FAT32 (active, Primary)
2nd partition - WBFS
I have read this post several times and find it confusing, especially since my native language isnt english.
Can someone just clearly state like above what they should be please.
I never state to have FAT32 as the 1st parition and primary and active and WBFS as the second parition.
If you actually followed the guide 7 times as you said you'd see that you'd end up with a WBFS parition set to primary and active and a secondary FAT32 partition which is set as active.
listen... forget the hdd as having a fat partition just use the sd card to get you homebrew the wads et etc. format your hdd as ntsc or no format but have the partition made. using wbfs do a format, then u can load your games from the right side of wbfs man in browse. while im sure its nice to have the hdd all done with fat32 u could have 300 games installed by now. I am running multiple wbfs partitions flawlessly witha sd card in 2 differant systems a 3.4u and a 4.2 . Each partition will ONLY LOAD 500 games, so i split my library up A-L with 330 games and M -Z with 240 games. Usb loader gx, configurator and uloader all utilize multipe partitions. good luck
