Mario Paint on the wii
I'm trying to emulate Mario Paint - the old snes game on my wii. Title screen comes up fine but can't play the game! The original version needed a mouse so I thought my wii controller would work but apparently not. The mouse cursor on the screen will not move at all. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.
That is one game that probably cannot be emulated on the Wii because of the specific hardware requirements.
If mouse support was added by Tantric you may then be able to use a snes to wii/ngc adapter.
This may resolve the hardware limitations but support for the mouse may need to be added to the emulator first.
The adapter shown in attachment is the one I use for standard snes games.
That adaptor is a cool looking bit of kit, I didn't know they existed, I have to get one to recreate the original feel of the SNES when playing the games, a classic controller is pretty good but you cant beat the real thing!! A couple of questions, slightly of original topic I guess but where did you get this adaptor and is there something similar for other consoles like the NES, Sega etc??
Did you try a USB mouse? The emulator may support it.
I remember making songs and playing the fly swatter game on Mario Paint.
A quick google search shows me these converters are readily available for the SNES and NES but not seeing any official Sega ones though. I think I may have a play with some old controllers and converters and see what happens.
Does anyone know if I make a converter for the Sega if it will work, or are we in the same boat as the SNES mouse controller? Any successes with the mouse?
So far I have the Nes and Snes versions but I have also seen a PlayStation model. No, I have not seen a Sega model.
