Nintendo announcing ‘new collection’ of indie games for Wii U at GamesCom
It has been confirmed by indie developer Paladin Studios that Nintendo will debut a brand new indie games line up at GamesCom next week.
Nintendo brought out their Web Framework earlier this year, allowing small developers to port their games from iOS and other platforms to Wii U with ease using HTML5. In addition to that, popular indie game company Scirra is making a Wii U exporter for their Construct 2 software.
It looks like Nintendo is getting in good with the indie scene. If major publishers like EA will ignore the system why not go full throttle with smaller devs? Nintendo has made a lot of strides this year by lowering the barriers of entry to Wii U development.
