All loaders choking...Too many games perhaps?
So I finally started transferring my wii games to my HDD en masse lately. I recently had 40 or so games working flawlessly on any loader, but my preferred was always GX in channel mode. When I transferred all the games I actually have the number went up to 104. GX will show the first 8 channels and then stop loading (even in list mode it does this- thought all the channels might be too much for the system RAM...nope). If I click on a game it does display, GX will just freeze. Then I tried Cfg (heard it was a little more serious) to find that it would work once. Next time I tried to load a game it threw up an error: memory overlap.
I've heard GX can see game partitions or WBFS folders on NTFS partitions to up to a size of 512gb. I have a 1tb NTFS partition with about 300 and change gb of games in the WBFS folder. Also here's another fun variable: I torrented certain game packs to my WBFS folder at one time thinking they would just work (wrong file structure won't go into it). When I transferred those games to my folder properly WiiBM logged all the files twice in the disc.nfo file. For a while they were part of the 40+ functional games on there. When i upped to 100+ games I removed the packs from the folder to save space. To futher confound things... though GX would choke at first it would still launch the titles it displayed; it wasn't until after playing fortune st. (a game logged 2x in disc.nfo) that evrything stopped workin and CFG told me error memory overlap.
I feel like there are a ton of places I could start but I thought maybe someone here had a convolouted problem like this at some point and could save me a lot of teeth pulling in the matter. Thanks:006:
