Luigi's Mansion or Animal Crossing?
My birthday's coming up, so I decided on two games I'm gonna get. But I'm having a tough choice choosing which one to get. They both have their good and bad.
These two 3DS games are Animal Crossing New Leaf, and Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon.
The story behind Luigi's Mansion:
This game is greatly rated, and it's definitely a good choice. I've beaten the first game many times on Gamecube. The sequel does a great job in reviving the series. But this game suffers one main issue. There is NO replay value. After you beat it, an you've played the multiplayer mode, there's nothing else to do in this game at all. It gets forgotten, just like Paper Mario Sticker Star.
The story behind Animal Crossing:
Another great game, and it's freshly released tomorrow on the 9th. I've played every Animal Crossing game to date. Starting from the Gamecube version, to the DS version (The DS one is the one I got into the most), then the Wii one, but I didn't get into it as it was greatly similar to the DS one. I've never experienced online play on the DS one, but only once on the Wii one. I can say that I'm a veteran of the series an I know what this game's all about.
The new game, for 3DS is extremely similar to the other Animal Crossing games in mostly every way. I've gotten tired of the DS Animal Crossing before an left it there for years, unplayed. I feel as if this game will be just a clone of a game I got bored of back when I was 14.
What I love about this game though, is that it never ends. It's something I can always go back to forever.
Both games are good, but I'm not sure which to choose. I feel guilty for choosing Animal Crossing, and satisfied for choosing Luigi's Mansion. But I see the long term consequence of choosing Luigi's Mansion, it won't last forever.
I'm getting Fire Emblem Awakening for sure, a good game that lasts long. I wanted another long lasting game.
I'm not sure if I can have fun with Animal Crossing the same again. I've already experienced everything you can do in an Animal Crossing game. I can get the same out of City Folk even. I haven't gotten into animal crossing seriously since Wild World on DS. The one where I spent all my time discovering the world of Animal Crossing, when I had no internet access.
