How bout it?
How bout it?
I just started watching the show. I've seen two episodes so far, so I have some catch up to do.
Wow... I'm speechless. Never, ever in a million years saw that coming. WTF???? R.I.P. to so frakkin' many. The wedding hall that became a tomb!
I kinda knew something was up, but never imagined.
Suddenly Frey looked a lot like darth sidious and, well you know how it is.
I saw the guy draw attention to his sleeve and Ned's mom catch the meaning (chain/mesh armor, at a wedding) and went "oh, shizzle --- something bad's gonna happen." That Frey... man, he likes'em inbred. I had thought maybe they'd leave it at Robb's wife, but nope. I can't decide as to whether retribution or payoff (if not both) was his motivation. Rather brutal. And the girl who was late to the party... was she meant for the blade with the scar-faced giant's knowledge?
SpoilerSpeaking of inbred, the current supposed king of the Seven Kingdoms... if the storyline's in keeping with the books... likely he too, will have an abrupt ending (postulating next week).
Yeah, I don't know if he knew that was going to happen or not. Hard to say for sure.
I know he was expecting to make some money by bringing her, but they purposely make his character hard to read.
If I had to guess, I would say he was without a clue. And now his response "too late" just meaning there is nothing left to do here.
I don't know what will happen next, but it looks like they got another season, so a lot gonna go on.
I was just thinking of something Wiimaster4eva once said after watching that massive death scene. " I just kicked my dog after seeing this"
You know what' real messed up?
When Catyln got that messed up look on her face, you knew something was wrong, but she had been watching all this romance going on and had not gotten any in a long time. That guy said, more or less, he didn't care about having Frey's offspring for a wife, just that it made him rich. I thought there was some sexual tension there, and when he was looking at her and his hand, I thought she had getting laid on her mind and was going to grab his hand lovingly lol
Just read about the author on this scene. He'd been emotionally and developmentally involved with the creation of his characters. He felt it too painful to write during the novel's composition. So he wrote the ENTIRE novel except that scene, and only went back and wrote it when everything else that could be had been done (last on the list of things to do).
Pretty much the Starks are done, from what I can tell. Jon's "taken the black" and cannot abdicate his duty as Knights Watchman. The other two sons are too young. Looks pretty grim to me...
I am just wondering, rather foolishly, if the groom got laid or skewered.
Yep, if it was a Bolton that would be retribution (for the beheading of the Bolton who simply murdered the two Lannister kids). I also wondered on the groom... seems he and she were carried out and only the ones locked in the room were the victims. Of course, the Stark soldiers were outside and weren't immune to the massacre, so yeah the groom could be skewered.
