No Homebrew Channel/should I install IOSs needed to play certain games? And how?
I bought a pre-soft-modded Wii a few years back and it has a USB Loader GX channel but there's no Homebrew Channel anywhere!
I can play most games, no trouble with the latest titles, but classic problematic games such as Paper Mario, Kirby and Monster Hunter Tri would never work. I've seen that some people had problems with Lego Batman 2... but I didn't (ripped from a bought copy, btw, if this means anything).
My question is that I'm fed up looking at that handful of cool games and not being able to play them! I've read all about updating/installing the IOSs so that I can select special ones for a game to load, but can't get a syscheck without the Homebrew Channel and cannot update/install those "missing" (since I don't know what's on the SD card) IOS blocks to play.
I got into Arc Rise Fantasia lately, only to discover - after I'd given the disc to my mate - that pretty much everyone experienced the same crash in the game at the exact same point, and that a different IOS was needed to play... ARRRGH!!!
I'm ripping my hair out here. I need advice. Thanks.
FYI: I know how to change the IOS on USBLr GX and even upon updating it online, I don't have those missing IOSs. I'd really like to play MH3 and get past that damn town cut scene in Arc Rise... but don't want to ask for my game back (and borrowed MH3 from him to rip it - yeah, yeah, my bad).
