Ok. cjizzle - thanx for the help. That seems to be the issue. Could it be a PAL vs NTFS (or whatever its called) discrepancy?
And yes. I have copies of all of my games. I can take pix if its that important to you guys. I am a hacker/modder but not a pirate. I understand that many people claim that... but my own personal integrity is important to me.
Plus, it is totally legal to obtain ROMs if you have a legal copy of the game in question.
My conscience is perfectly in tact.
So I need to make sure that both games are "of the same region"? How do I check that? Can I change the game settings in USBLOADER Gx to set the game to a different region?
If the games are of different regions they will have a completely different title ID. They are not interchangeable and you will continue to have issues like this until you USE YOUR LOADER TO RIP YOUR ORIGINAL DISKS.
I haven't been able to get it to work no matter what I do
Ok does it = ripping of original disks via the loader software?
Or does it= the same topic of this thread which we have already covered¿
Not sure what you are asking odd griffin - but my question has been answered
I have not been able to rip my own games to my own wii. I have followed the softmod any wii tutorial from this site
and tried the FAT32 guide on this site.
I have updated USBloader gx - flashed the 5.1 update WAD and done just about everything I can think of.
I can play ripped games but when I try to rip games with any loader it hangs.
It may be my thumb drive - 64GB PNY Attache (the 1-32GB versions are confirmed to work on this site but the 64GB one is not addressed)
Download Wii ISO title Renamer from HERE. Open it and change the title ID of your iso to the title ID matching the region of your save file. Then reload the iso to your drive.
Issue resolved - PNY 64GB Attache thumb drive will read but not write. I now use my Sandisk Cruzer 8GB thumb drive to rip.
I should have congruency with all saves/disks/rips!
thanx for the help guys!!
Issue is resolved
I would like to do the following:
1. Remove all other loaders from home menu (wad files) other than USB Loader gx v3.0 (also remove the backup/restore app added by install guide on this site)
2. Boot directly into USB Loader gx v3.0 at power on
3. Change "Return to Wii Menu" with "Return to USB Loader gx"
Hacked method: Letterbomb
Softmod: Mauifrog (softmod any Wii)
have not installed:
run system check
Thank you for submitting your findings here, that may benefit others now or in the future.
1. Which loaders specifically, and were they definitely wads (or are they HBC apps and/or combo forwarder channels)? If so, do you still have the wads? You can use wad manager and select the wad and then the mins (-) button to remove via HBC. That's predicated on you having a wad manager in your apps folder, of course.
2. and 3. Look here.
I softmodded with this: soft mod any wii
So whatever that tutorial has bundled, I have on my SD card/installed on the wii
I deleted nothing. so all the wad's are still on my SD. I figured... "what the heck... I may need this stuff some day"
