Hello, my name is Thomas. Im a dad of 6 kids, 4 of which play the Wii machine alot. The kids that play are 3, 5, 6, and 11.... We have a prooblem and that is that they cannot keep their game discs in decent condition, and mom and I are tired of buying new games.
We bought a "Wiikey Fusion" online after doing very little research. It took like 6 months to receive this thing, and it required that I open up the machine to install this little chip that comes with it... I wasnt willing to do that, so I took the key and machine to a guy in town that runs "mods n repairs" and for about 40 dollars he installed the equipment and "flashed" our machine. We were told it will now play games off copied discs AND SD cards - we dont want to do the SD card thing, we just want to play the copies of the games that will otherwise be ruined. Having six kids means not alot of extra money around for replacing the game discs that the kids ruin quickly.
Mom and I have no idea what any of this is, we just want to be able to make a copy of the games we buy so we can keep the originals to copy again when the kiddies trash em, thus saving $50 a game for repurchases.
If anyone can help us in accomplishing this that would be great. Here is a list of what we have.
Wii system - a couple years old now, bought new
Wii controllers x4
Wiikey installed in the machine with SD reader on the outside
Lite-On drive in the PC that the mods n repairs guy sold me for $50 - he said new games need to be burned on this drive, so I took his word and purchased this equipment from him.
I have made games for the kids xbox360 that this mods n repairs guy also modified, and I just take the new game disc, put in my computer, and use imgburn.exe to "rip" a disc image, and then mount the image onto a dual layer disc... This works fine for the xbox360 game, but the wii games I have tried do not work the same way.
Anyways, if anyones got any how to links or anything mom and I might find useful, please post em up here. Im gonna go cruise around the forums and see if I can get any info. Thanks in advance.
