When using a ps3 controller I found that I needed to turn the ps3 off to get it to work. I just flipped the switch on the back of mine. Without doing this the controller would turn the ps3 on and sync with it.
It syncs with the wii and let's you play wirelessly and the analog r2 and l2 function as the GameCube triggers. This is probably the best controller option of the 3 since you don't lose any functionality.
Just note that if you do the R1 + L1 sync with Wii you'll have to re-sync it to your PS3 next time you want to use it with that. It can appearantly only store 1 Bluetooth address.
Edit: oh the nice update to the guide I've got coming :)
Description of button shortcut combos (which don't work on GC pads sadly :(), how to use the different compatible controllers, how to play GC games on non GC Wii's and Wii U....it's gonna be great. Just be a little patient guys, it's worth it.
i use cfg loader for all my gamecube and wii games. my hard drive is formatted to fat32. but i have noticed that some of the games dont show up like paper mario and lugis manshion. i have plugged the hard drive into my computer and those games are in fact on the hard drive. Any soultion? P.S i dont know if this makes a difference but when i start up a wii game on the cfg loader it says ios reload blocked, but the game still works.
dml lizard stopped working for me. i have used it in the past but it no longer works. it says that necessary files are missing connect to the internet and try again... or something along those lines... any way i am connected to the internet so that dosnt make any sense. also the first time it didnt work was right before i got that message above it said that it was shut down for some reason like the guy who made it got in trouble or something. is there another program that i can use or is there a way to fix this?
Unless 24hrs has passed or someone else has posted, please use the EDIT button ;)
Did you place and name the ISOs as described on page 1? They should show up if you did. There's no reason some games would show and others wouldn't aside from the ones not showing being named wrong or put in the wrong location.
Edit; I'm not sure what this "dml lizard" you speak of is....but it's clear you didn't follow this guide. Please do so.
I just had an issue with my games not showing up in usb loader gx, I guess I messed something up when I tried the r200 sample loader because it asked me to reverify a game in the GX. I had to copy the iso in to the format for the sample loader(no sub folders for the games) so I had 2 copies of the game(one in the subfolder and one out of it). Maybe the dvv files were overwriting each other or something. Anyway I deleted all the extra isos to try and just go back to the way I had it before and a couple of my games stopped showing up in the GX. I noticed the ones that worked were named game.iso so I named my other games that too and then they showed up. Normally gx doesn't care what the game is named I thought, weird I had to do this.
i posted on this thread after i had already been running gamecube games on my wii and i thought it it was the same way as snes_master's guide, but i was wrong. sorry about that. i used this link [Link Removed] . i used it before it said outated and removed the comments. it was working recently. should i just start over remove everything and use snes_master's guide or is there a way i can fix it? and maybe you know of another program like this one.
Please do not post YouTube guides
I recommend using this guide (the one you're posting in) and seeing if it works for you. We'll start there. If you should have issues AFTER following my guide then I'll be able to help you but until then there's very little I can do for several reasons (one of which being I don't know what your Softmod on your Wii looks like, ie what IOSs and cIOSs you have installed).
So start by following this guide and we'll take it from there.
thanks for your help .if you watch the link it has everything i did so it will show what ISOs and cISOs i have and exactly how i have evertyhing set up. but if you still dont know a way to fix it i am willing to use your guide
Your YouTube link was removed for a reason, we don't allow links to outside guides here. That said, I will check it out anyway but being that it's A) not one of our WiiHacks guides and B) outdated I can't say how much help can be provided.
Edit: Having just watched the video I can tell you it does not provide sufficient information as to what is installed on your Wii. All it tells me is you installed Dios Mios 2.6 and cIOS 249. The video does not tell me what other IOS and cIOSs you had installed before hand nor does it tell me what version of cIOS 249 you installed (most likely a very outdated one). The only thing I can recommend, based on what little information has been given to me, is that you use the Softmod ANY Wii to set your softmod straight. Once you've done that come back and try this guide.

i used letter bomb to softmod my wii if i did that again would it reset evertything? also that video is the only thing ive done to my wii after getting the homebrew channel. and i will definently try this guide after i set my softmod straight. and that video was verry recently outdated i used dml lizard to format a game just last saturday.
