Another thread. These are just helpful suggestions. I like this forum so don't be mad.
WiiHacks takes a long time to load. It bogs down my iPhone 4 as well. I usually kill the request after text loads. The site wont even load on the wii (i know its an outaded browser). Here are some solutions to help speedy up the website and make it more pleasant to view. All suggestions might not be easily possible for you guys. I am not a php developer nor have I ever used vbulletin. I do however practice Rails.

10.90s to completely load forum.php and it's dependancies
I think the thing that kills the iPhone is all the requests. Here's some helpful suggestions.
Only request yui if you are using it. 2 js files total almost 100kb and are not needed when serving a desktop view.
Combine resources. This will yield less requests. Look up what sprockets is for rails. There is probably a php alternative.
Cut down on external scripts. It's just another request. I understand that you might want google ads and stuff, but maybe there is some of those external scripts that you can serve locally and wrap them up with other combined resources.
Focus on caching. Inline code isn't cached. The page is as a whole.
I'm sure there is lots of others tips and ideas out there. Just trying to give you guys some ideas to speedy up the website! :)
That is strange. Because my pages load fast, and my HTC EVO 3d only has a 1.2gz processor.
Are u sure its not something on your end?
My pages load fast too - and it's not really gonna be the processor that slows this down unless it's a really old phone, and the iPhone 4 is relatively new. And your iMac is good too. It's more likely your Internet connection.
If your not familiar with cable internet (i think this is what you have), when a lot of people in your neighborhood are using the Internet, the speed of the Internet will decrease (nothing on your end).
This is why my Internet browsing slows down sometimes - because there is a lot of traffic.
EDIT: Does this happen all the time for you?
It takes about the same time to load on my iPhone 3G or wifi...but I don't know of any dev tools for the iPhone to accurately measure.
I mean, it's not deathly slow. It could just be faster. WiiHacks is currently loading things it isn't even using. Just suggestions.
By the way, are you using the app on your iPhone 4? If not, try it - I've seen some issues with iPhone browser being slow sometimes...
Safari and iCab on iPhone, both webkit based. Reguaress of how it is on my end, the total size and amount of requests is kind of large. Not loading files unless needed in particular device view alone would speed up wiihacks for everyone.

My page loads fast as well and my internet is crap. It's a bit slow if you compare it to sites like Google, Facebook, etc. Your remote location can also affect the speed the site load.
