Posts I Respond to Don't Show Up in What's New?

Something wasn't right in the What's New tab yesterday. I just figured out what it was today. There were some new threads, I responded to them. Then I clicked What's New again, and some threads that were there previously weren't anymore. I responded to one more, then checked and it disappeared under the What's New tab.
Anybody else have this problem? Whenever you respond to a thread, it disappears from the What's New tab?
    Is this a new feature?
They also disappear if I just view the thread

It's annoying but I think that is the way it is supposed to work. If you responded it's no longer new. If my memory serves me correctly that's the way it used to work until all of the recent server problems.

Well, if it continues, I guess it is.
