    Possible forum problem.

I'm trying to read the system 4.2 hacking guide - more for intellectual curiosity than any other reason - and all I am seeing is a completely blank page while logged in.

If I log out I can see the page with the usual warnings about only registered users etc.

I've tried all the usual options, disable ad filters, firewall etc. but none of this seems to make any difference.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: Changing thread display mode to linear seems to have cured the problem.

@Englander - Glad you were able to solve your own problem. Good work. I see this is your first post so I will provide your welcome post here. I hope the information and links are helpful to you.

Hello Englander and welcome to the WiiHacks community.

You have joined the world’s largest Wii modding and forum community. To help you access the useful and relevant information available on this site, it is strongly recommended that you first look at this special site index: Wiihacks Ultimate Index. Another guide to the site, that is intended for new members, is HERE.

The WiiHacks membership is a diverse and global community. To ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all, please make sure you read and follow the Rules of this site as they are indeed enforced here. There are a number of tutorials and guides available to assist you with your Wii-related issues. If you have an interest in hard-modding or your Wii already has a chip, check out the Modchip Forum. Many of our new members find the tutorials for softmodding any 3.1-4.1 Wii and any 4.2 Wii or the full hacking guide for 4.2 Wiis particularly useful. If you will be using an external USB hard disk drive to load and play backups of your Wii games after softmodding your Wii, go HERE.

Make sure to use the search function before asking questions. There is a very helpful guide to optimally searching this site HERE. While the moderators, staff, and members of this community are willing to help you, some effort on your part to read, research, and follow the rules is expected. To get the best response to your question(s), post in the correct forum areas. Inappropriate posting (wrong area, double posting, and bumping threads in < 24hours) could get you restricted to the Reading Room or even banned. If, after looking at the tutorials and trying to search, you still need help or just want to post a very basic type of question, try your luck in the Newbie discussions forum.

Wiihacks maintains a chat room on irc://irc.uicn.net/wiihacks . Please read a bit about WiiHacks iRC HERE and then feel free to join in the light-hearted chats and activities. While exploring the site, please look for our very active member-submitted News Section, entertaining and informative Blogs; and a Lounge area for some relaxed fun.

If this site and our members have provided substantive help, you can Donate and show your support.

Current hot topics on the site include: Monster Hunter Tri ; Price of Persia: Forgotten Sands; Super Mario Galaxy 2

Enjoy your stay with us and please have fun exploring the site.

    Thanks.

I have already gone through the rules etc. but to be honest I don't expect to be posting much as games consoles are not really my thing.

The information itself is interesting though as are some of the homebrew apps, but I doubt I'll actually try any of it as we bought the console for our daughters, not me.

They would be probably be a bit peeved if I were to turn it into a doorstop

understandable, i mean, homebrew isn't for everybody.
wait, what am I saying? of course it is!

however, as you've mentioned, the technical achievement alone is well worth noting
