But it was there immediately after i Posted the Reply. Underneath the Bar where the "Blog This Post" "Thanks" and "Reply" features, was another bar in the same colour saying, your Post cannot be shown as it needs to be approved by a moderator.

I refreshed the page, message was still there. I then noticed that there was a new Page started for the thread, so i clicked on the last page, my post wasn't on there. I clicked on the Previous page the error message had gone and no sign of the Post.

If it makes any difference, i replyed by pressing on the Reply With Quote option, then pressed Post Quick Reply.
You know, if your repost of today is similar to the missing post of last night, I think I did see it and answer-I remember the the question about updating to 4.1 and your username because I had responded to you on something. Hmm, if that is indeed what happened, looks like the system lost your post and my response to you-I am reminded because parts of Nightstah's answer echoes what I posted to you unless I am hallucinating. I do not recall your post as being moderated-I just saw it pop up and answered it.

I understand the need to have the initial post/tutorial/guide to be looked at first by a moderator, but why the replies?

The auto-moderated areas do auto-moderate all posts because the follow-up posts can also offer directions, alternatives to the submitted guide, etc. I know it seems silly for a atta boy kind of follow-up post, but you will recall that sometimes user submitted guides engender heavy conflicted responses with alternative directions, links to other guides that are deemed superior, and other stuff if you cast your mind back to some wonderfully controversial submissions.

I wonder if it might be possible to have the auto-moderation based on the posting users rank?

For example, Stomp is a Senior Member, and obviously would know what is acceptable or not. Maybe anyone ranked junior or member could be auto-moderated, and those ranked senior might be exempt. Most people that hang around long enough to make senior status are fairly knowledgeable.

    just me thinking aloud

Ah, i saw no mention of your post at all, lol. Well i got the first one about The Homebrew Channel updating and you also telling me that System Updates are not required to play games.

Then i tried to update you on what i have done to my Wii (what was installed), that i wanted to install BootMii and Preloader, and was asking you if i should stick with 4.0 or upgrade to 4.1. But that got blocked by moderation...and then the next thing i knew it was on Page 1254 and the first post was by drvipej.

    *Edit*
OH CRAP! Lol, i have just had a look now and it is suddenly there, on the top of page 1254, so it didn't get lost which was weird. I Could not see that post all day...so now i have the same thing posted on two pages now (oops)

But if you responded back to me, then that is not there.

All i wanted to know now was if it is ok to follow the guide as i have Updated my Homebrew Channel last night (the guide says don't do the update). Also, in the "Copy Files to SD" folder would i need to change anything because of it?

Also, I gave a stern warning no linking to illegal software (OK i used slang and such and got an automoderated notification; after checking out this thread, I believe it was in the user-submitted one for SSBB --- I had to give Gen3SF a shout on it). I thought it had to do with keyword automoderation, but perhaps b/c it was in the user-submitted section. Whaddya think, Gen --- you should recall the thing since I PM'd you about it. Ironies of irony -- getting moderated in giving a warning not to link illegal stuff
