[GUIDE] FTPii for Wii and ME

FTPii sets up an FTP server on your Wii. It uses a FTP client from you computer and will allow you access to various parts of your Wii's data remotely. The purpose of setting this up is to gain access to the Wii's SD card and HDD (if you have a FAT32 partition set up on it), without having to unplug and move them. Basically laziness.. LMAO!

*This guide uses the assumption that a Windows machine is being used to communicate with your Wii via FTP. If you have a preferred FTP client, the instructions in this guide might still apply (to a certain extent)..
**It is also assumed that you have already configured your Wii's network settings. It is highly recommended to set up your Wii with a static IP.

Very nice thank you. I wanted to point out it would not work for me until I grabbed ftpii version 0.0.22 which you have listed in previous thread, the version you link to above was a no go.

No, unfortunately not. I modded my 4.3U Wii a few days ago using the Softmod ANY Wii guide. ftpii 0.0.21 wouldn;t work, I tried various things like using DVDx, different FTP programs and other workarounds listed through the 8 pages of the previous thread. It always left me with two problems, the ftpii would time out with no data transfer, and my USB HDD would fail to be mounted. On the 7th or 8th page where the link was provided for 0.0.22, I tried that this morning, and its going great with FileZilla. Thanks!

Full Channel Wad works perfect for me. Installed via MMM off SD, ftpii itself is on the USB HDD. It's a nice channel too, animated with a cute sound, I like it!

hiya guys, this is the last app i'm trying everything else is setup and working great (thanks to all the people here)

the only issue i am having is getting this app to mount my usb hard drive.
it works on the SD card i can see edit that, my hard drive is 1 large 500GB FAT32 partition and all the usb loaders/tools works fine with it.

The version i am using it's the latest version downloaded directly from the homebrew browser.

any idea's on why my hdd is failing to mount with this application? really like to get this working as i am a bit worried
about constantly pluging in usb to the wii, i work with pc's daily and know just how weak and frail them usb ports are!

    thanks!
