    Kirby and Go Vacation

I am having the same problem with Kirby and also Go Vacation (although no one else seems to have trouble with that)
I just went through Mauifrog's guide and updated everything to dx cios v7 final yesterday to no avail.
I've tried using CFG loader, NEOgamma and USB gx. Maybe I'll just have to leave these on discs like joysound Karaoke.
Could having a Japanese wii have something to do with it?

Kirby runs fine with cIOS249 d2x with a base of [56] and so does 95-99% of games.
Does your cIOS249 have a base of [56]?
And having a Jap wii shouldn't matter if you're playing backups through a usb loader,
but you could always go back to maui's guide and region change your wii.

great... It was base [38], so I tried to install [56] by using the d2x CIOS installer in homebrew channel, select 56 as base and v7-final installed it to 249, now 249 won't work for anything.

Your syscheck looks great, and no it's not strange that 248 is [56].
Make sure your loader is up to date. CFG is v70, and GX is v2.3.
Go HERE and download the USBLoader GX v2.3 AllinonePackage IOS249.zip
    and see if that works.

Still no luck, but with CFG loader I can get the start screen to load, when I press 2 I get a white screen and it freezes. However, Go Vacation is working now...

Ok, that's good for Go vacation lol.
Kirby should be working, my son plays
Kirby for hours with that set up.
Only thing that comes to mind is, it could
be a bad rip/dump. Try deleting the game
from your HDD, and then re-rip using the
    original disc.

    EDIT: I just tried Kirby loading cIOS250 [57] d2x-v7final,
and cIOS251 [58] d2x-v7final and it loaded up fine. Who knew lol.
    Could always try that too.

Very strange it won't work for me. I'll just leave it in my noisy disc drive (just recently started my wii is really old).
This gives me 2 games I have to use the disc for, not a bad percentage at all.
I've tried 222,223,224,249,250,248,251 they all go white after I push 2 to start and the music loops.
I read somewhere else someone trying to run this on the dolphin emulation that there is an SD-card check that fails which caused dolphin to crash, maybe that has something to do with it?
Ah well, thanks for all the help, I suppose that since Go Vacation works (like it should have from the beginning) my wii is now up to date.
