To make it more simple for you, download wad manager 1.7 or Wii Mod 3.1 and download the files in the second installation method; the wads.

Run that from the Wii and done. Read the instructions carefully first.

    Hi again

    Thanks, now it finally works.

What is stubbed slots, and how does it get stubbed? I know what it means but what is wrong with them physically? Is it sensible to get rid of them?

Stubs are added by Nintendo in system menu updates to replace the cIOS in slots 249, 250, etc.

This guide was a little hard to follow, I didnt know the loader had to be in the apps folder of the SD card.

    IOS249[37] (rev 21006 Info: d2x-v6)

I would try changing CIOS249 to Base 56, d2x-v8final, rev 21008 so it matches the rest of your D2x. Then point all your usb loaders to cios 249 (GX and Config). With the wrong base, lots of things won't work.

I just like to know if it is still neccessary to install d2x in my Wii or if it is needed I'm just curious if there harm in installing it.
Below is my Wii's sysCheck report:

Strange...I thought I already posted in this thread...anyways, just 2 things I'd like to ask:

    1. When installing the IOS to their respective bases does it matter which rev I use? The options given are usually 21000X (X is the d2x version) I installed the rev655345 (or something to that extent) because I assumed the larger the number the newer it was.

    2. Should I use d2x when playing out of region games? I'd like to play Metroid Prime Trilogy PAL on my NTSC-U wii. It uses IOS-55 so I'm going to assume I'll just use the patched IOS-55.

Hey guys can someone help me. I followed the guide and I am still getting freezes and black screens, mainly on the older games like mario sluggers and mario strikers. My GX is up to date and everything else has been OK (I ran skyward sword fine). Here is my syscheck. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
