Does anyone know if v8 or v9 will get Tintin working from USB HDD? I updated to v7 today and it still kept locking up at random places.

The problem with Tintin is a loader issue. Not a cIOS issue. The only workaround as of now is to use Sneek.

Some people have also reported having it working with the latest version of GX.

Thanks for the info. I'll try the latest GX and if not have a look at Sneek

Hey guys, I followed the CompleteSoftModGuide and installed waninkoko's cIOS with IOS236 (since it was the first cIOS I was installing, and hermes v5 with

    • IOS222 with base IOS38
    • IOS223 with base IOS37
    • IOS224 with base IOS57
    • IOS202 with base IOS60

However I've just learnt of d2x and that its the best to use, and they didn't have it listed. So, if I understand correctly, I can install this and it will just coexist along with waninkoko's cIOS and hermes cIOS? Or is this dangerous?

If you install the d2x cIOS it will overwrite the existing cIOS i.e 249, 250, etc. It's not dangerous, follow the steps in the guide and you'll be fine.

    Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who asked and answered questions in this thread. I had installed HBC earlier this morning and used a youtube video to install the softmod (before I found this site).

I couldn't figure out how to install IOS250[57] till I found this thread. I also updated my IOS249[56] with the files from this thead. I scoured for hours trying to figure out how to do it and the guide on page 1 here made it simple and the installer provided was quite nice too. v8 looked a bit different than what was posted but was all good.

    Thanks again

ok i made a thread to post this question then found this guide...so i will post my questions here...

ok i know this gamecube d2x loading is new and u can only load them from sd...currently i am on d2x v7 is there any point in updating that (all my games that i have tested currently seem to be working (although starfox adventures had no sound well music just no
sound effects, like talking in the beginning and control of character isn't correct...altough controls are the same way when playing the disk...same with spyro)) my question is is there any reason to update to d2x v8...(note...since i've posted this i have upgraded my cIOS's to d2x v8...still no change in talking sound in starfox

also i've read about being able to have your gamecube games on hard drive and transferring them to sd when u want them....but i haven't figured out how to do this....this would be a big time saver for me as i only have a 16 gb sd card and over 20 games....i have to delete and move games onto it every time i want to play one i can't fit onto it....i love how i can now backup my gamecube games as i've already had to get a few resurfaced and taken almost all of them to get polished at my local video rental place (it only cost a $1 a disc to have that done so it's well worth it and can fix most scratches) but i know i can't keep doin it everytime there is a scratch on one of my games....so could anyone maybe tell me how i maybe able to transfer them from my hd as i want to play them from the wii so i don't have to hook it to my computer every time (if its possible) or point me to a link that describes how i would want to accomplish this

Hello i am really new to using these things i downloaded the Wii Mod v3.0 and i copied the cIOS245 + cIOS250 to the root SD card.
I load it up choose 36 and click install, but they don't show up? All that shows is.
    102, 3090, 3094, 3351, 3607, 3608
What do i do now, i don't want to mess anything up, but USB Loader GX wont run without the 245-250 installed.
