Glad you got it working. Keep in mind v8 is still beta. You may encounter problems so I'd stick with v7 until v7 final is released.

You can always go back to v7 if you fecide to install v8 tho

Yeah, I was hoping that this would solve my problem with playing from my HDD but it doesn't to seem to have made any difference that I can see YET.

I say "YET" because I have not ever successfully loaded any games or HBC apps from this HDD as of yet. Just my thumb drive. Although, when I do get it working (if I do) I am sure these cIOS that I just updated, will surely be an improvement over what I had on here from last year.

I'm gonna keep whackin away at it, I can't get my apps or anything for that matter, to load from SD anymore and yes I did hit (1) and selected SD or USB on the HBC..lol ....<-- cause I knew the question would surely come.....jus sayin.

I don't know-----------this thing has got me stumped so far.

I currrently have it (500GB Iomega Prestige) formatted to FAT32 >set to active< & primary (about 10GB), and NTFS (about 490GB).

I started to change it to all FAT32 but I have not done that yet because it should be reading the FAT32 partition now, even if it is not recognizing the NTFS partition.

Formatted it using Easus Pro. It was brand new.

    Hi Cabinetmaster,

Just get the D2Xv7-final installer and put it in your s:\apps folder and run it from HBC. It's WAY easier then using MMM. I am assuming you can get to HBC via your SD card though (preferred method of loading HBC IMO, as it's easier to update apps/cioses).

    Online Install
    - Download and extract to SD/USB
    - Load the HBC and load the d2x installer
    - Select IOS36 or 236 to use during the instllation
    - Select cIOS to install <D2X v7>
    - Select base IOS i.e <56>
    - Select cIOS slot i.e <249>
    - Press A to install

    My recommended setup:
Install D2Xv7-final slot 247, Base 57, revision 21007 (COD MW, and other picker game support)
Install D2Xv7-final slot 248, Base 56, revision 21007 (default CFG USB Loader V70 slot with default IOS reload block)
Install D2Xv7-final slot 249, Base 56, revision 21007 (for automatic Mighty Channels support)

I have d2x cIOS v7 alpha, (I installed using MMM) can anyone advise me on how I can get it upadated to the d2x cIOS v7 Final using MMM (I had success using MMM so I would like to stay with that method but I am certainly open to installing using another method IF and ONLY IF it is more feasible).

I really don't want to fumble around with using the d2x cIOS v7 Final installer though. I read through the entire 50 some odd pages of post and the Guide and never did get a clear procedure on using the d2x cIOS installer(s). Some would be all about using the installer, then just when you think that is the way to go, here jumps in another person saying "Don't waste your time using installer, just use MMM or (others).

So, I had MMM already, have used it in the Mauifrog softmod anywii guide, and knew it worked so I chose MMM, but I need to update to v7 FINAL.

Everytime I update something on my Wii, it seems like there are 14 different installers for the same update. Just trying to keep it simple, if MMM works just the same, why download yet another installer?

    Thanks,
    Cabinetmaster

Its not worth my time to infract you... Your post is moderated and that is all that is going to come of THAT!!!!

I told you to read the guide... If you read the guide fully then you would know the best way to get the latest VER is to use the installer... WHICH is much much easier if you read the instructions to use then the .wad files... and in my opinion safer!

I did look on the First page where you advised to look and those wads are dated Sept. 24, 2011. I installed them, posted a syscheck (on the appropriate page), "cjizzle" stated that they were the alpha's---not the Finals.

I would appreciate if someone could check it for us, Thanks
