I followed this, and then I loaded up Homebrew Channel, it won't recognize it.

okay, I got it work, but when I load the Slot : 250, it said that it already existed and it would overwrite it, and when I continued, it was a failure. Do I have to use another number?

What do you mean by failure? error code? If you're doing offline installation wads must be on the root of the SD

Btw, it's ok to overwrite an existing cIOS, so just ignore that message.

    if you are installing online:
download first the files from the NUSD Application. Put them in ROOT:\nus\

    if you are installing offline:
download first the WAD files from NUSD Application. Put them in ROOT of your SD.

You dont have to download anything if you're installing with an internet connection, the installer will do it

    Small update to the guide.

When installing offline you dont have to manually download the bases using NUSD.

I've uploaded the wads so you just have to extract to SD root and that's it.

No need to create folders, download ios from nusd, etc.

BIG THANKS! To all involved with d2x cios.
I have been trying since last year to be able to play COD3 on USB. I've tried lots of stuff including various cIOS versions, slots, loaders, formats.... Finally yesterday I got it to work.
    D2X CIOS V2.1. Installed 249 [56] V6. Using cfg USB loader V69c.

COD3 works great. I imported my save games from using the DVD last year... everything works...

    Thanks again...

However I have a question..... ... will D2X replace the occasional need for 222 mload and other specialized cios ?

Hey man. Loving the idea of the no frills super update. Been fiddling here or there to get things running over the past couple years and I've never had much trouble. Tried the d2x rigmarole excitedly and installed it to the letter with base 57 and slot 250. Then I still didn't notice the various changes promised from all the stuff I've researched...gbatemp and others included...hey I barely make pancakes without rereading the recipe four times. Anyways, for the first time I followed a kneejerk reaction and redid it with 249 as well. I have no idea what I've overwritten in both those slots, but there has been no apocalypse. Syscheck clearly tells me that I've done the same thing in both 249 and 250...no idea what I had there in the first place mind you...but everything still needs the various ios load changes. EActive, COD:BO (which only works in configurable loader for me on 224), and others still need their unique load settings. Am I mistaken in thinking this beautiful d2x was going to make me a lazy SOB once and for all? Or did I do something wrong? I'm betting on the latter.

So in order to get my Rock Band instruments working for Beatles Rock Band(disc not usb) for Neogamma, would I do the steps like this?

    - Insert the SD or USB in the Wii
    - Load the HBC and load the d2x installer
    - Select IOS36 or 236 or 249 to use during the installation
    - Select cIOS to install i.e <D2X v6>
    - Select base IOS i.e <56>
    - Select cIOS slot i.e <249>
    - Press A to install

Yep. Or you can use NeoGamma IOS Switcher. Then you can use different slots with neogamma.
