This isnt the thread for that... this is for updating your cIOS to D2x, not IOS..

I've had partial success. Thanks red gh0st and jbizzle for your help, and kudos to mauifrog on an excellent guide! I followed the guide to the letter and it went off without a hitch. but when i launch the cfg usb loader forwarder channel it just goes back to system menu. I installed wiiflow again and I'm still getting the same problems. I managed to get mw3 to load using r304-249, but I still can't get back to the future to run. I believe it runs on ios 245 but I can't set this in the wiiflow games settings because ios 245 to 251 are still missing. I tried wiping wiiflow and re-installing using 'wiiflow 2.2-rc-1(no-dol)' with r417.dol inserted as boot.dol. wiiflow started up ok, but games were renamed again, and same ios's still missing.
I'm totally at a loss here. Any other suggestions folks? Thanks.

Sounds like you didn't complete the guide correctly. Can you post a new syscheck?

I'm not at the pc right now, I'll post it tomorrow. Thanks for all your help. Just a related, but slightly off topic question. I have a nephew who has a 4.3 Wii that I previously softmodded. Can I follow that guide to update his Wii? The reason I ask is that the guide sets the system menu to 4.1, is it safe to come down from a 4.3?

Yes, it is safe. Follow the guide completely without skipping steps. Btw, the downgrade part is optional

May I have a question? What is the IOS 236 for? I do not have this on my wii, but on first page there is written about it whitch I do not understand correctly.

EIDT: I used ios36 for installing d2x without any problem so why ios236?

cheers Red Gh0st. I just tried running a system check but it keeps hanging at ios9 and I have to power cycle the wii. instead of testing all, i tried testing ios9 on its own and syscheck runs ok and generates the report ok. I'll have to come back to this later.
