[GUIDE] How To Run & Post A System Check

This is "HOW TO" post a system check.. DO NOT "Post one here"

If You Post one In This Guide You Will Be
    Infracted! You Have Been Warned!

***If you need someone to review your system check please post it HERE:http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-new...heck-here.html***

A quick simple run down on how to run a system check

****Note: I removed all the older versions of syscheck and a few other problem apps. ****

Not sure what's stubbed and what's patched? Need to know what IOS or cIOS you are missing or need? Well you're in the right place.

Step 1)Choose and download an app/program that has the ability to give you a detailed report on your Wii's internal workings. Please read the *notes in blue

    Syscheck v2.1.0 Beta 19

    Other (Older) Versions

Dop-mii v15 with syscheck - Thanks to Arikado & Lunatik

Step 2) You need an SD card, 1-2GB Sandisk is best (SD not SDHC) *note sdhc will work if fw is 4.0-4.+ and properly softmodded.
Open/unzip File and copy it to the Apps Folder of your SD card.
    SD should look like this:
    sd:/apps/syscheck
*If you already have an apps folder make sure you don't overwrite it. Just transfer the folder "syscheck" to the apps folder; otherwise you might overwrite the whole apps folder.

Step 3)Insert SD card in Wii and run app from HBC (homebrew channel)
*It will create a .csv file onto the root of the SD card.

Step 4)Back out to System menu and remove the SD card

Step 5)Insert the SD card in your computer and copy the .csv file to your computer.

Step 6)Open the .csv document (*Note: use word pad - it makes it readable!)

(You can stop here if it’s for your own information.. If you are posting it in the forum read on. )

Step 7)PUT IT IN A SPOILER! Copy the “text” (not the document) and paste it in a “SPOILER tag” in your reply or post. BB code for a spoiler looks like this. Just remove the spaces:
    [ sp ] your system check here [ / sp ]
AGAIN: * use word pad it makes it readable!
*If you don’t use a spoiler tag and you clutter our forum you might get an infraction.
    Examples: provided by Skellinator
    note pad and such:

Please don't post one that looks like this.

    Wordpad:

    Readable syscheck

Step 8) delete personal info if you want (i.e. console ID #)

***If you need someone to review your system check please post it HERE:http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-new...heck-here.html ***

Don't be afraid to ask for help!
*Just try not to be too much of a noob about it...

    ----------------------------------------------------------

If somebody asks you for a SYSCHECK in the IRC... PLEASE DONT COPY AND PASTE IT TO THE WINDOW....

Please use this service online to copy it to and then paste the SMALL link in the IRC WINDOW
    Code:

sysCheck GX v1.0 has a bug in it and displays false information, other that that, it's ok to use.

sysCheck 2.1.0-b7 doesn't display an IOS correctly that has a base of 38 merged with 37, it will display only 38 as a base.

Already had the syscheck gx bug listed but was unaware of the 2.1.0 b7 issue...

Can I get suggestions?, This is what I got in return, on a quick note about 3 out of four of my games I have to actually use the disc, I know I got to be missing something but have tried to reinstall everything but no success, and need to run from usb as much as possible since the drive makes noises and had to send Wii to service twice to get realigned or something like that. Thanks before hand.

I'm pretty sure the intent of this guide it to tell you how to run and post a syscheck not for us to check out your results. If you have a problem with the guide (which apparently you didn't) this would be the place to post it. Otherwise this thread is going to become a mess. I'm still waiting for a response from the guides author as to his opinion though.

    @ Darkcide
    Thanks for lookin out brotha!!

This guide will become a mess if it becomes a random trouble shooting thread which I HOPE it doesnt....Soooo.. Im willing to let users post system checks to be reviewed and answers given but if they start asking for instructions on how to install gx ect ect ect I will close it..
