USB 2.0 means you are using a more up to date version of syscheck than i was when i made the guide. Its fine.

    Removing softmod from 4.1E Wii

    Hi,

I have a Wii that was last modded a good 18months ago (my younger brothers). He has asked for the mod to be taken off as he is unable to update the ios himself and as I am out of town now this isnt practical either. Given that the last mod was so long ago i am wondering whether I should go through this tutorial or if there is another way this wii should be updated and used as a standard wii again?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    System menu 4.1E
    Priiloader v0.1 (r15) - ios v60, systemmenu v450
    running neogamma r8 b7
    USB Loader GX

@andowhy - best bet is to update using the anywii guide in my signature. It installs all current IOSes and gets everything in shape. The guide in this thread will take you back (mostly) to standard, but imho there's no compelling reason to ever use it. Just update the softmod and be done with it.

    Cheers-

    -Blu

Hi - I followed the steps on the first page almost religiously, but I still end up with:

IOS248 (rev21): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

I tried following Link's post no.40 in this thread, no luck.
Whenever I go into MMM, it shows up, I can press (-), but then it returns to the IOS manager screen.
    Everything else is fine.
    ... is this okay?

You don't have ios 36 selected as the IOS to use in MMM, or you probably forgot to patch it.

Hi, I have a 4.3J do I have to download the 4.1J system menu provided?
I have a 4.3 softmodded wii, I only put HBC, usb manager, IOS236, cIOS 236 with a base57 v5918. And now I want to completely removed all of them and put it back to normal where I can play original cd's. I'm just scared they won't read them anymore and I screw up actually, its my sister's wii Its not really mine.

If your problem is not being able to read cd's i recommend you refollow (or follow it in your case) the softmod any wii guide. If it still does not work then, we will work from there.

Problem is I don't wanna put any softmods anymore they just gonna keep on buying retail cd's and probably stick with that type and support developers. I want to remove it all like it never happened or I'm a dead man T_T and I regret it, I'll provide the .csv file soon as I get my hands on wii if needed in my case or should I skip on removing cios trace? I'm glad your willing to help.

Question Can you take a look at my System Check before proceeding to "Virginize" my Wii

This is what I got from when I ran the system check on my Wii. Is there anything that I should worry about before proceeding?
One thing that I noticed is that the region on the system check is NTSC-U and system menu 4.3U. What pack from step 2 should I download?

    Spoiler
