Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
1.2.2 is pretty new. A lot of apps are simply fixed by deleting the previous config files and letting it make new ones. This is not the thread to go into details about that but try it out and make sure your ios/cios are up to date. Updating/fixing is always better than removing the mod if you ask me!

Yes that's true I won't go in details... I have general problem with errors in apps and bootmii (games play perfectly). I think that it is to fix ios and cios is the best idea.

so what your saying updating the ios on 4.2, when using a actual game that needs 4.3 to run, won't ask to update via disk update? so basically, i do not have to upgrade to 4.3 then, has anyone tested this, I asked the guy to try skyward sword (disk) and run normally though wii, without using usb loader

If you have block updates properly installed AND the requisite IOS installed, the game will run w/o requiring an update. More about IOS and CIOS in the newbies thread in my signature.

System Downloads in step 2 are not working.
I tried downloading 4.1U and it never downloaded completely. Using firefox, it would stop around 20%. Please help. Trading in all my wii stuff to gamestop to get a ps3

never mind! Firefox is stupid sometimes when downloading. Used Chrome instead

Picked up a used wii and think it may be hacked, how can I tell?
Reason thinking maybe hacked is when trying to load Zelda Skyward Sword is on the disk channel it say "wii system update" and when I try to update it fails. When I try a update through wii settings I get error 32004 and nintendo.com states 32004 may be due to a mod (connection tests okay and have changed router to ch 11). Also the FW shows as ver. 4.2U.
On the main menu page there is no indication of Homebrew, just "disk channel", "Mii", " Photo Channel", "Shopping Channel", "Forecast" and "News".
If Wii is modified I'll be willing to leave it but how would I run new games like Skyward Sword or access the Shopping Channel so I can get the internet?
If I was to unmodified, instructions page one still the best way?
