When I say you may brick throughout this guide, I’m not joking. Read the part that says "read me first", to follow this guide you have to have the basic knowledge to open/close a spoiler. My spoon broke before I could write how to open a spoiler, so I'm sorry. Also, if you cannot master the complexity of spoilers, you cannot master the complexity of this guide. If you know you want to make your wii a virgin, and there is no way around it, please follow this and DO NOT do it on your own(meaning without this guide). This guide was written for your safety incase you MUST remove your softmods. DO NOT skip steps unless I or another member tells you to. Judge that member by their post, if they have more they will know what they are talking about. If there avatar says staff, always listen to them and do not ignore them.
REMOVE ALL GC MEMORY CARDS AND GC CONTROLLERS! THEY MAY CAUSE ERRORS!!
DO NOT ASK ME QUESTIONS VIA PM!
THIS GUIDE IS FOR ALL WII'S UNLESS YOU HAVE CIOSCORP INSTALLED!
THIS GUIDE WAS WRITTEN WITH A DIFFERENT VERSION OF SYSCHECK, YOUR IOS 58 MAY HAVE SOMETHING ELSE DIFFERENT, IF IT SAYS USB 2.0 YOU ARE FINE!!!
Read me First-Reasons to and to Not Follow this Guide
-I do not recommend this guide, it is safer for your wii to be modded.
-If you are doing this to send it to Nintendo, I am sorry as they can tell if you have softmodded and they will refuse to work on it.
-If you want to remove your softmod’s and then start over, please go introduce yourself since you can safely follow a softmod guide and install over what you currently have.
-The only real reason I see to do this is if you are selling it to someone.
-Then again, they would probably appreciate a modded Wii more than a nonmodded one. However, I have heard that Ebay will not let you sell a modded console.
-If you are still persistent on wanting to remove your softmods, continue reading.
-This is not recommended and you may brick even if you read the entirety of the guide.
-You will most certainly brick if you do not read all of it.
-When I say you may brick throughout this guide, I’m not joking and the only way to solve a brick after step 2 is Bootmii as Boot 2.
I have tested this on my Wii, and I did not brick. I followed the guide word for word, but I only have a US console. I believe the other SM packs to be safe, but they have not yet been tested. Use at your own will, even if the other system menu's are fine you may brick somewhere else.
Rules of the Guide
-READ THROUGH THIS GUIDE THOROUGHLY
-ACCEPT THE RISK OF DOING THIS
-ACCEPT THE BENEFITS OF DOING THIS (haha none)
-ACCEPT THAT ME NOR WIIHACKS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK
-LEARN TO OPEN SPOILERS, INCASE YOU OPENED THIS ONE ON ACCIDENT
-DO NOT SKIP STEPS UNLESS THEY SAY "OPTIONAL"
-DO NOT ALLOW TURDS TO HIT THE FAN
-DO NOT FLAME THE FORUMS/ME IF YOU BRICK IF YOU FLAME THE JANITOR ON DUTY (JoostinOnline) WILL BE ANGRY AT THE MESS YOU MADE AND NIGHTSTAH WILL PROBABLY CHANGE YOUR THREAD TITLE TO SOME HILARIOUS VARIATION
-ONLY PM ME IF YOU ENCOUNTER A TYPo OR A MISTAKE ON MY PART. YOUR ERRORS GO IN THIS THREAD!
-YOU MAY NOT CHARGE US FOR YOUR BILL TO NINTENDO READ ABOVE!

I have system menu X installed on my wii and I was able to succesfully remove it.
Excuse the date, i just took apart my wii to get a disk out of the drive.
How to launch MMM
To launch MMM go the homebrew channel and click on the Multi Mod Manager icon and it will be the only thing there if you extracted & formatted correctly.
Step 1 Patching IOS 36
1.Download IOS36.zip and extract it to your SD card.
2.Place on the root of your SD card and install it using MMM.
3.To do this, click on the patch IOS 36 option.
4.Then click A on express mode and let it finish.
Step 2 Installing a clean System Menu and IOS 60 to get rid of Priiloader and Themes
1.Format your SD card and place MMM on your SD card
2.Download the correct pack for your region and extract to your SD card
4.1U
4.1E
4.1J
3.Start MMM and click the WAD Manager option.
4.Select the IOS 60 WAD and press "A" on it and wait for it to install
-If IOS 60 gives you an error when you try to install it, make sure you did step 1.
5. Now go to the System Menu WAD and click "A" on it.
-Make sure nothing fails If one of these fail, you WILL brick if you do not fix the error.
Turn off the Wii and turn it back on while holding the restart button. If priilloader launches, you did it wrong.
Step 3 Removing your Cios
DO NOT LEAVE MMM AT ANY TIME WHILE ON STEP 3 THAT INCLUDES PART B! YOU MAY BRICK!
1. Format your SD card and place MMM back on it.
2. Download This, and extract to the root of your SD card.
3.Start MMM and go to the option that says “IOS MANAGER”
-BE SURE YOU ONLY REMOVE IOS 200+ AND 70, 80, 90, 150 (if present) OR YOU MAY BRICK!
4. Select any IOS 200+ and 70, 80, 90, 150 (if present) then press the - button on it after that, press A to confirm.
-DO NOT REMOVE ANYMORE UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO LATER!
5. Go on to part B of step 3 WITHOUT LEAVING MMM to do this just press B untill you go to the main menu.
Step 3b Installing Vanilla IOS to Get Rid of the Rest of the Cios
1.WHILE STILL IN MMM go to “WAD Manager”
-If you left MMM, you just have to relaunch it. Theres a tiny chance you may of bricked if you left it, I just wanted to point that out.
2. Press “1” to select all of the WAD's, and then press “A” to install all of the IOS’s
-MAKE SURE ALL GO WITHOUT ERROR! YOU MAY BRICK IF ONE FAILS!
3.You may now leave MMM and proceed with the next step.
1.Format your SD card, and run a syscheck found here and compare it with the one below
2.If you see a maxed out IOS that is not stubbed, you ARE NOT finished with this part.
3.If you have one, post your syscheck in this thread and do not proceed. We will try our best to help you.

Step 4 Removing Custom Channels
!!!!At this step, DO NOT Remove HBC or the turds will hit the fans!!!!
1. Hit the circle in the bottom corner and go into Data Management.
2.Then click on the channels bubble.
3.Find any unoffical channel.
4.Click on it.
5.Press on the "Erase" bubble to remove them.
-Rinse and repeat for every unofficial channel.
Step 5 Remove the Heart and Soul of your Softmod
1.Format your SD card one last time and put this Hackmii.zip on it and extract it.
2.Go to HBC for the last time you will ever enter it
3.Run the only app that appears.
4.Click on the uninstall options for everything,
5.Click on Bootmii... and uninstall that also, and you will be finished.
-Congrats on not bricking.
Step 6 OPTIONAL:Formatting your Wii
-If you are selling your console, doing this will remove all of your saves, channels, and mii’s(I think).
-If your keeping it, then skip this unless you really want to but there is no reason to remove softmods and keep your wii.
1.Click on Wii settings and on page 3 of 3 there is a bubble that says "Format System Memory".
2.Click that and agree to anything it says.
-Doing so will not remove anymore traces of the softmod
Step 7 OPTIONAL:Updating your Wii
-You may now click on that rusty update button, and it will update everything we didn’t doing this guide.
-You can skip this if you want, but if you buy a new game you will have to update sooner or later.
-This is due to the fact that you removed all of your homebrew, so you can't do it yourself and keep your SM the same.
Thanks to:
-JoostinOnline for uploading the IOS pack.
-Krank for giving me permission to use any of his packs he posted anywhere and more help throughout.
-Us3rname for some generic help and uploading a few files for me.
-Nightstah for actually helping me and changing my thread title to something productive when I asked a stupid question
-Cile for asking for a guide like this and giving the community an outline
-TheBandicootAdict for making me change this part
-Every noob going to make there wii a virgin by themselves and end up bricking
-Thanks to Joostin again for convincing me not to make my wii a virgin back at my first post. If only the other noobs would listen to him.
-Thanks to Cile for making a few more suggestions. I was not able to get to all of them, but i will in the future.
-Thanks to Krank for making some other suggestions, I did as many as I could.
-Anyone else i may have forgotten
If you followed this guide, please hit the thanks button below. If you see any of the users above, go click the "thanks" button under their post. Without them this would have been impossible. You may skip the noob part, they probably won't come back unless of course they bricked.
Coming soon: IOS pack that will overwrite darkcorp, therefore making it a true guide to remove softmod from ANY wii.
