    Curious.
Do the same restrictions apply to the downgrading process in this mod as it does to others? For example: If you have a Wii that is new enough, and came with a system menu that is above 4.1 out of the box, will downgrading brick you?

    Thanks in advance.

Alright guys just checking in. Went ahead and pressed the shiny update button and got me to 4.3x and everything seems okay.I did lose cIOS249 cause I didnt go with the 65535 in the pack, instead I just reinstalled that 249[57]21 as I had before because I'm accustomed to running usb config off cIOS 249 and that all seemed fine and dandy, allthough, but if its better to use the usb config of 222 I will do that. I did notice on the google site for usb config that they have a version for 222 and the one
in the pack I believe is 202, not sure though. Anyway I just noticed a little something. Now I could be jumping ahead of myself, but before I updated I only had 4 stubs on my last system check. This is my system check prior to updating through the N from 4.1x

    Spoiler

After updating today I now have 7 stubs. This is my system check as of today.

    Spoiler

Is that something that I should be alarmed about?? I would imagine since I did update through the N, that the N itself made these 3 other IOS'S stubs right? Should I do anything about this?? I've become decent with most these apps in the last few months and I think I can do what needs to be done if anything. I heard that its bad having stubs if you ever have to downgrade, but I dont think I'll have to downgrade, and I have boot2v4 and priiloader installed so I got some kind of protection. I'm in the process of making a nand backup as I post this. If it will do more harm then good than I dont have to mess around with them. I'm just6 wondering why I have 7 stubs now instead of 4, but I could have answered myself in thinking that The N made those IOS stubs. Not sure though. Just thought I'd ask to clarify things up. Thanks for all the previous help. I know alot of my post are long, but I do the
best I can to explain my problems, but I must be doing alright, cause so far so good. Nothing
major yet. I use alot of default settings. I dont mess with custom themes or get fancy with any of that so havent ran into the theme brick or banner brick yet. Just basically want your expert guidance guys.

    Thanks.

That's why we included that version of CFG in the pack (so you won't lose any softmods if you update). There's no downfall to using cIOS222 vs cIOS249 for USB loading. Yes, the version in the pack is CFG for cIOS222.

It actually only stubbed one of your existing IOS (IOS51) but added two more stubs (IOS40 + IOS52) this is expected as those IOS are unused and one of them is for a Korean system menu.

I heard that its bad having stubs if you ever have to downgrade, but I dont think I'll have to downgrade
This is only true if you have stubbed system menu IOS which you do not.

Nice Streamlinehd thanks man. I assume I'm good where I'm at and dont need to mess with anything, allthough if I wanted to
couldnt I use dop-mii to remove those stubs with unstubbed versions?? I dont think I'll mess with anything as I'm satisifed
now and everythings working okay. I guess my pursuit of the perfect hack wants me to correct all I can, lol!! but sometimes
it can do more bad than good. Just on the stub thing though am I correct when I say that DOP-Mii can remove or update those stubs to be
unstubbed?? I dont want to do this if I dont have to, but I dont mind messing around. I think I got what I need in case I do run into failure
or brick, but I dont see that happening anytime soon. I could be jumping the gun trying to do this but I imagine with the IOS40 + IOS52
I could just leave those cause there useless right?? Seems like I might be able to get rid of them if I wanted to but dont know if I want to do this yet and how DOP-Mii works with that. In all honesty I had stubs on IOS 9 (rev 1034), and IOS 21 (rev 1039) , and I had use DOP-MII I guess to remove those as it had said they were stubbed and suggested another version. When I did that everything worked fine but instead of

    IOS 9 (rev 1034) Stub
    IOS 21 (rev 1039) Stub

    It gave me
    IOS 9 (rev 1034)
    IOS 21 (rev 1039)

so I think the stub was removed not sure though. I'll probably just leave as is, cause from what I read uninstalling or delting
lower IOS'S is bad and even somewhere on this site it says never uninstall or delete lower digit IOS'S. Thanks for clarifying everything for me. If you think I should give it a go with DOP-MII let me know. If its of no concern or importance I'll just stay where I'm at.

Yes, freestile just leave everything as is. There's no need to update/change/delete those IOS at all, your Wii is perfect as is.
