Guide: Softmod ANY wii | How to post a system check | Loading and Playing Wii Backup Games from USB HDD (softmod only)
System Menu X (IOS150, E) | HBC 1.08 (IOS58) | bootmii/boot2v4 | priiloader 0.7 | cIOSX rev21d2x_v6 (main base IOS 57) | cIOS 223 (IOS 37 + 38 merged) | USB Loader GX 2.2
I have done this on a 4.1u modded and all went great. I want to do this on my 4.2u and 4.3u wiis will it down grade to 4.1 or will it mess up the wii?
I followed the maufrog guide and i am REALLY uncomfortable with having to install a new CIOS everytime i need an update to say Call of duty games, or any other newer release. I am confident that i can follow this guide but all the old CIOS and hacking i did will be removed by the end of this guide or is that what the final update is for? Thanks in advance Also i only use my hacked wii for homebrew Apps anymore i dont use backups or ECT. So i thought this guide would be good to use so i could still run homebrew and i can safely update through nintendo.
Yes you can install everything in this guide over the cIOS in Mauifrog's guide without issue. The only difference is that the cIOS in this guide are patched to a maxed title version so they can't be stubbed by an update.
This guide doesn't install any channels besides the CFG USB Loader forwarder which is exactly the same forwarder in mauifrog's guide. No you don't have to uninstall anything at all and this guide won't uninstall any of your channels either.
