    Wad Manager [guide]

    Wad Manager 1.7

Wad Manager is used to install wad files into your Wii.

DO NOT INSTALL OR UNINSTALL WADS UNLESS YOU HAVE BOOTMII AS BOOT2 AND/OR PRIILOADER!!!! There is a chance of a brick so please take the necessary precautions before you proceed.

    1. Place the wad file you want to install on your SD card in a folder called "wad"
    2. Download Wad Manger 1.7 from here
    3. Unpack it and place it in the apps folder on your SD card or your USB drive
    4. Start HBC
    5. Start Wad Manager
    6. Read the Warning and press “A”
    7. Select the IOS to use for the install and press "A" (Try IOS236 but if you don’t have 236 then use IOS249 or IOS36).
    8. Select the Wii SD Slot and press "A"
    9. Select the wad directory and press “A”
    10. Choose the wad you want to install and press "A"
    11. Select “Install WAD” (or Uninstall if you want to remove a wad) and press "A"
    12. Press “Home” twice to exit back to HBC.

    Your done.

Could you possibly simplifiy this a little? The steps make perfect sense, but I have no idea what "DO NOT INSTALL OR UNINSTALL WADS UNLESS YOU HAVE BOOTMII AS BOOT2 AND/OR PRIILOADER!!!! There is a chance of a brick so please take the necessary precautions before you proceed." means! Cheers!

It means that if you install a bad wad you have a way to get out of the brick....... Always get wads from reliable sources.
No need to shout in bold...

My apologies for my slow response to your question. Somehow I missed it.

No, you don't need to uninstall first and in fact depending on what you are updating it is highly discouraged. Just install the wad again right over top of the one currently installed.

is there a way to install a wad straight to the SD card or the USB ? instead of installing it onto the wii's memory then moving it to the SD card ?
