Yes you need HBC to use this guide. Are you just wanting to update IOSs? If so then look here.

    Wad Manager1.7

Trying to install wad manager 1.7 on 4.3U. I got homebrew reinstalled using Indiana Jones pwn. Now at the point of reinstalling wad manager and I get to the point to select nand emulator device, and it already has disabled picked. I chose to use ios249 which I had already installed before the updateto 4.3 happened. Anyway, wiimote stops working and I can't choose to do anything else. I tried using the reset button and power button and eject with nothing happening. I have to hold power button on to shut down and restart wii. Anything I can try to get wad manager to install? Thanks

You need to follow the softmod any wii guide. The update stubbed all your cIOSs. That's you having problems when selecting IOS249.

Ok Thanks. I will follow the guide starting with where I already have homebrew installed and go from there.

OK, When I start the any wii softmod guide, do I just stop after the chapter 1 part 1 with homebrew already installed or do I need to continue with part 2 and chapter 2 and chapter 3 to the end of the guide? Maybe I should have asked this in the anywii soft mod guide thread but since we had already asked for help here thought I might still could ask here. Thanks for your help!

WAD Manager won't mount hard drive

I have WAD Manager 1.7 installed on my hard drive. I can launch it and use it to access files on sd card. But it will not mount my hard drive. I get ERROR! (ret = -1). Please help. Thanks.

    OK. Thanks.

Is there a good substitute for WAD Manager, that works with hard drives? MMM Manager or something?

    Thanks.

MMM has wad manager on it, but it's still wad manager. I always use sd card for wad installs weather its mmm or wad manager. I like to keep my "tools" away from everyone else anyhow, prevents stupidity from messing up my wii

OK. I just like to FTP files to the HD and just wanted to load them from there. No big deal. Maybe the next version of WAD Manager will fix the problems with hard drives. Thank you.
