No problem, have fun. By the way, the reason you thought your Wii was bricked is because you have the best brick protection available (bootmii installed as boot2). I thought that was kind of funny....
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Hi Krank.
Just wanted to say great guide!
Thought I would post to confirm I just did this on my wii with System Menu 4.3E using Option 1 and Option 2 under your 'System Menu 4.3' section.
    Worked no problems

Only thing that was strange was after I restarted the wii, the sound was really sharp and very 'pixelated' if that makes sense.
I turned the wii completely off and back on again and the sound went back to normal. Strange.

    P.S First post! Yay!

Glad it worked for you thanks for confirming, not sure what you mean by a "pixelated" sound... very odd. If it's normal after a reset then I wouldn't worry about it.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Yeah it sounded like, you know when you watch a really low quality streaming video on the internet and the sound is choppy and sharp?
I'm struggling to describe the sound to you but that was the best example I could come up with haha.

    Ok Here is the skinny..
I had a 4.1u, accidently updated to 4.2E. Recieved opera error in settings menu. I then used Fifa 2010 to update back to 4.2U (well the wii said update successful) Still got opera error in settings. I tried steps1,2,and3. to no avail. I am racking my head on this for a week now and now I need help. I am currently uploading a video of all the steps taken and info from system check to give whoever a better idea of what I got and where. I will edit the post when it is uploaded. Or if you think you can help hit me at REMOVED. you tube is saying like 50 minutes for upload. but I can compress and email to whoever wants to take a look. Thank you
