i removed all wads plus EURO-4.1e from sd:\was folder to make up room, then tried chapter 2 part 2, optional- Region Change Wii.
there are two odd things happens:
    1. when MMM comes up, TV display flickers initially for 5 seconds or so and it stops flickering when MMM is ready and shows the menu including App Manager.
    2. after setting the region to Japan, select "Exit ARC-mod to HBC (do not boot)", then HBC does not load but it freeze and keep displaying unreadable sentenses on TV display. could this be because the SD card has only 35 MB space left or else?
If the HBC did not load, hold reset to load priiloader, then load MMM from priiloader (load the boot.dol). Then install the 4.1j wads from MMM and reinstall priiloader.

    hi mauifrog,
are you saying that i can reboot wii into priiloader to MMM after the region setting change in ARC-mod? the guide seems to tell NOT to boot from ARC-mod.
also, we absolutely need to use ios236 for the region change?

If HBC does not load after you change the settings in ARC, what other choice do your have but to reboot the wii. It is no preferable to reboot, but if you have no choice, then you have no choice. The thing is, the wii will be in a semi bricked state until the system menu matching the region settings is installed, but priiloader should load without issue and allow you to load MMM. IOS236 is the ios my guide uses for this, there are many others that would also work.

thank you for your quick reply and the info, mauifrog!
after changing region setting in ARC-mod, i have a choice of installing System Menu 4.1. if i reboot after changing region in ARC-mod, i could reboot to MMM. if ios236 doesn't work for region change, could we use ios249 or others?

    Bingo!
Thank you so much, mauifrog. reloading ios236 got the region change done.
now, i can go back and forth different language versions.

one thing is that wii shop channel gives me an error of 205958 after saying that the region has been changed from US to Jpn.
any idea of how to fix it? is this because i have wii shopping account for US version and came to JPN version? i wonder if i should cancel that and try the JPN version.

actually, i was able to use wii shop channel by the following steps:
    1. removing the account of the original region
    2. change region
    3. create a new account of the new region.

thanks so much, mauifrog for all the adequate info!

Why would anyone want to change his region from USA to Europe or the other way around?
Anyway, to answer your question: yes, everything will be Europe if you've followed this succesfully.
    Everything.
