Here's a little info on it...
Homebrew channel let's you load other programs, such as Sega emulator's ,Nes,Snes and Yes, homemade games as well etc.
Now there is two ways of getting these apps on your sd card,1.)Is by having the Homebrew Browser in a folder(Named Homebrew Browser ) in the apps folder, This method you will be able to download them directly to your Wii onto the Sd card.(Some apps not all) .2.) Way is by Installing them manually on to the Sd Card.By putting the Homebrew browser in the apps folder. So it will look like this, Sd:/apps/Homebrew browser/.dol the .dol with png and the xml file will be in the Homebrew Browser folder. Home brew Channel also loads these apps.

Hi there! Is there a homebrew that can create a fully clean NAND? I am yet to grasp ModMii's capabilities in that area (my tests were all failures), and I'd like a spankingly clean NAND to use with S/UNEEK and have fun with an emulated NAND.
I'd like to use a fully new one instead of using my console's NAND as a base to ensure everything is completely clean.

Hi there. I was going to attempt to use the homebrew channel to edit my Animal Crossing town, but I ran into a few errors and I feel it's best just to stop now to avoid damaging my wii. Will I be able to update in my wii in the future, should I need to do so? I already deleted the Homebrew Channel and everything off of my SD card.

Updating your wii will not harm anything since you are not modded. The update usually just kills the softmod anyhow. If you want to properly mod your wii you can follow the softmod any wii guide linked in my signature. You should read the FAQ I have linked in there first so you are aware of what's is going on.

On the editing your town issue, be sure to read our forum rules. Editing the town is not really cheating IMO, but if you opt to cheat once you figure out all of the goodies do not ask about it here. Piracy and cheating are not supported @ Wiihacks.

How do I compile an emulator with my own modifications (for ex. GenesisPlusGX) to use on HBC?

EDIT: Can someone please make a compilation of those emulators with 3rd party Classic Controller Pro compatibility?

    Hello everyone,

I am new to the forums, as I just fixed my Wii system (previous owner allowed dust to cake up inside the system). I have been reading into forums, and watching youtube videos all afternoon and still am having issues with my softmodded Wii. I followed the youtube tutorial for the Wiibrand and have Homebrew installed and functioning. I also am trying to use neogamma to play gamecube games from my flash drive. I have formatted the flash drive as Fat32 and created a folder named "games". I have tried numerous .iso files from different sites, but none of them seem to be working. At first it would just say there were no games available, but now I get an error that says something along the lines of storage read2 error. I am at a loss as to what I should do in order to get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong, or if I have skipped something? I was sure that I followed the directions from the tutorials, but as I mentioned previously, I am at a loss.

Please don't follow youFAIL videos. We support our own guides, not fixing someone else's cobbled together thing. Also, this site does not facilitate piracy --- we cannot help you. I have reset your site rules acceptance in the hopes or expectations that you read'em.

I do apologize for not following the rules. I do have another question for you in regards to the softmod. Would it work if I were to follow one of the guides here from beginning to end, even though I have already tried following the "YouFail" video guides? Or would that cause issues as I have already attempted to do so?

Just as the guide says (if you take time to read it), the guide will overwrite whatever you may have out of spec (from wiihacks POV).
